Erika
2 weeks later...
"Do you want to get some food after this?" Blair said, as she looked through the clothing racks with me. Blair and I were hanging out today since it was the weekend. We were browsing clothing racks in the mall, which is near impossible to do when you're hungry.
"Let's get some now. All I can think about is TGIF," I said, fixing my bag on my shoulder. We walked out of the store together and in the direction of the food court on the third floor. My phone buzzed in my bag. I opened it and it was a text from Lucas:
From: Luke
Which one's better: DC or Marvel?
To: Luke
Why the sudden question?
From: Luke
Me and Connor are trying to settle an argument.
To: Luke
Marvel is definitely better.
From: Luke
No it isn't. You and Connor are wrong. DC is better!
To: Luke
Three Words: Batman vs. Superman.
From: Luke
Okay, you made your point.
"So my little Erika is texting her prince, isn't she?" Blair cooed.
"You know he's not." Ever since I started hanging out with Lucas, Blair has been rooting for us to start dating. The first time she told me that, I dismissed the idea immediately.
"When you guys get married, I will be holding a giant sign saying 'I told you so'."
"And when we don't, I will be holding a giant sign saying STFU."
"Whatever you say." she sassed.
I just rolled my eyes and we walked on to the third floor where TGI Friday's was. We got seated at a table almost immediately and the waiter came over. We started to look over our menus.
"Welcome to TGIF, my name is... hey!" I looked up and Connor was there, in a waiter's uniform.
"Hey Connor! I didn't know you worked at TGIF," I said.
"I needed the money," he explained. I heard Blair clear her throat.
"Oh Connor, this is my best friend Blair. Blair, this is Connor, Lucas' best friend," I said.
"Nice to meet you. Anyway, what can I get you guys?" I gave him our drink orders and he walked away.
"Erika, girl. Who was that beautiful human being that just greeted us?"
"I just introduced you."
"You did?"
"Yeah, I guess you were too... distracted," I suggested.
