Sonic and Amy finally stopped hugging and were following Knuckles and me to my old school. Next to the school is a cornfield, so I thought that would be a good place to start looking for Tails.

When we reached the field, I asked Amy to stand on my shoulders and see if she could see a clearing or part of the Tornado.

"I see a large clearing, and part of a blue wing!" she called from my shoulders.

"Nice work!" I complemented, putting her down on the ground carefully.

"Why thank you," she said bowing graciously.

I started to enter the cornfield, everyone following behind me. After about a minute, we entered the clearing, finding a plane: the Tornado. I was speechless! I couldn't wait to fly in it!

"Where's that fox?" Knuckles asked.

"I don't know," answered Sonic. "Little bro! Come out little bro! It's your bud Sonic!"

Out of the blue, Tails came out from behind the plane with a pipe, hurtling at me at top speed, yelling loudly. I covered my face and closed my eyes, then Sonic stepped in front of me, his arms out at 90° angles. Tails stopped instantly in front of Sonic, fell to the ground (he was flying), and started to try to push Sonic away from in front of me. Sonic didn't budge.

"Move Sonic! She's captured you! I have to protect you!" yelled Tails.

"Captured?" Amy said. "She didn't capture anyone. She saved Knuckles and me."

"And rescued me from prison," finished Sonic.

Tails stopped. "You mean, she didn't hurt ya?" asked Tails.

"No way little man!" answered Sonic.

Tails stood up and apologized to me from trying to hurt me.

"Aw. It's okay Tails. It's nice of you to care for your family," I told Tails honestly. I wanted to give him the "funny kiss" that Sally Acorn used to give him when they were in Mobius, but I decided not to.

"Come on guys," I said. "Let's go home."
