I turned in bed and opened my eyes. Shadow was standing in front of the window looking outside. I sat up and stretched.

"Good morning, Shadow," I said.

He turned and looked back at the window.

"Good morning, Ivy," he responded.

"Did you sleep well?" I asked. That was stupid thing to ask. He can't sleep.

He was about to say something when Sonic walked into the room.

"Hi, Sonic," I greeted.

"Breakfast is ready," he said and closed the door.

"What's his problem?" I asked myself. "Lets go eat, Shadow," I said.

We walked into the dining room downstairs. I sat next to Shadow to my left, with Cream to my right. Next to her was Tails, then Sonic, then Knuckles, then an empty seat next to Shadow for Amy.

"Where's everyone else?" I asked.

"They're busy. They'll come by later," answered Amy.

The morning was awkward. No one talked for the whole time we were eating. As Amy and I were cleaning up the dishes, Sonic and the others except Shadow were watching the end of today's assigned episode of Sonic X on TV.

Just then everyone else walked into the apartment. Vector entered with Espio and Charmy, and Silver entered with Blaze. The kitchen entrance was facing the entrance so when Vector, Espio and Charmy walked by, I smiled at them. Vector and Charmy ran off, leaving Espio alone. He just rolled his eyes and went into the living room.

Silver and Blaze weren't so freaked.

"Good morning, Silver, Blaze," I greeted happily after finishing cleaning up.

"Good morning, Ivy," Silver answered. Blaze just smiled. I knew she was shy, so I didn't push her to say anything. I walked into the living room with Amy, entering the middle of a conversion.

"She stole it?" Sonic asked.

"Yep," Vector added.

"Stole what?" I barged in.

"Some bat stole a diamond from a museum," Vector informed me proudly.

"It's got to be Rouge," I said.

"Who?" Knuckles asked.

"Rouge. An 18 year old bat that loves large jewels. She ends up working for the government," I explained. I looked at him and giggled to myself.

"What?" he asked confused.

"Oh, nothing," although there was something. I wanted to add that Rouge would have a liking for him, but he would just yell at me.

Sonic hasn't talked to me all day. Was he okay?

"You okay, Sonic?" I asked.

"I don't know. Are you?" he asked coldly. He stood and walked into his room.

"What's his deal?" asked Charmy.

"I don't know," I said. "I'll go talk to him." I stood up and knocked on the door.

"Who is it?" he said.

"It's Ivy," I answered.

"Go away," he said.

I walked in anyway and sat on his bed.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"You don't remember yesterday?" he asked looking away from me.

Oh my gosh. I totally forgot!

"I'm so sorry, Sonic. I was just under some pressure and I was angry. I didn't mean to yell. Will you forgive me?" I asked.

"Why did you think I only think of myself? I care about other people, too. Sure I can hurt people sometimes, but that doesn't mean I only think of myself," he explained.

"I know. It was wrong of me. I wasn't thinking," I said. "But I'm begging you, please forgive me," I pleaded.

"I don't know, Ivy," he repeated what I said yesterday.

"I understand," I told him sadly. I got up and walked to the door. When I opened it, Sonic called my name.

"Ya?" I replied.

"I forgive you," he said.

I went over to him, hugged and thanked him, and went out the door. Everyone was on the couch talking. I sat down next to Tails and didn't speak, I just listened. That's how I got by in school with the popular kids.
