Lock those memories in a jar, keep them hidden where they should be, they flit around your mind like butterfly wings, cut them off, hide the jar in the closet where you stashed his shirt, the scent still lingers and you can't bear to smell it, burn all his letters, throw the ashes away, clip the vines of the past away, don't let them grow in your mind, try to move on.
