James's Point Of View.
The party was slowly going to an end as we all sat around the table drinking and chatting. Many people went home, and some of them were dancing on the dance floor. Lily and Andrew danced for a while then joined us.
Sophie and Ian just returned after dancing to Frank Sinatra's The Way You Look Tonight, Ian is a pro at dancing, I don't know how or when he learned it, but he is sure damn good at it.
" Did you see the way these girls were looking at you? Damn, Sophie, they are so jealous of you." Lily said grinning as Sophie and Ian sat back in their places.
" That kinda happens when I'm the hottest one in the room." Sophie shrugged smugly sipping on a flute of champagne.
" No, that happens when you're dancing with the hottest man in the room." Ian said winking and Sophie rolled her eyes.
Before she could reply, I heard the familiar music that I've grown accustomed to, and I smiled inevitably looking at Sophie, who was already looking at me.
" Come on." She said.
" No."
" We have to."
" We really don't."
" James! Please, I love that song!" Sophie said using her completely irresistible puppy eyes, she had me on my feet in two seconds.
" Come on." I said grinning at her, I offered her my hand and she walked with me as I lead her to the dance floor.
The familiar lyrics of Sway started, and I pulled her closer putting one hand on her waist, and the other held her hand upwards. She put a hand on my shoulder and we started dancing.
Like a lazy ocean hugs the shore, hold me close, sway me more.
Me and Sophie have danced to this song more times that I can remember. She absolutely loves it, it's her favorite dancing song.
When we dance, you have a way with me, stay with me, sway with me.
It all started 6 years ago, when the song started playing at a ball we were attending, and she begged me to dance with her, although I hate dancing, I loved dancing to that song, with her. That night, when the song ended, the hall burst in claps, apparently we danced very good.
Only you have the magic technique, when we sway, I go weak.
I let go of her at the end of that sentence and rolled her around, then pulled her closer to me as she laughed causing me to grin.
I can hear the sound of violins, long before it begins.
We swayed gently to the music, and I smirked as I noticed some people watching us.
Solo music started playing and I let go of her waist rolling her around, then pulled her closer but turned her so that her back was against my chest, and I swayed her gently with the music.
Other dancers may be on the floor, dear but my eyes will see only you.
I returned us to our normal posture, and I tightened my grip on her waist as she grinned, knowing the next part is her favorite.
When we sway I go weak.
I rolled her around again and pulled her closer, but this time faster than the others, and I put my arm around her waist dipping her down, so that one of her legs was probed upwards, and the other was leaning against the floor.
