Sophie's POV
We rushed to the hospital after Andrew's words, he didn't have much information because Rose was crying so hard when she called him, that he couldn't hear all of the words correctly.
Ian, Alex, and Andrew all had their cars with them when we were at James's, and I drove here with James.
I couldn't cry, I couldn't talk, I couldn't even think of any scenarios, because if I started thinking, I would have to think of both good and bad ones, and I can't even begin to imagine the bad ones, I just can't.
Dylan is the only father figure in my life right now, and I can't afford to lose him.
We were sitting in the waiting room in silence, Andrew was pacing back and forth, and the rest were just sitting, praying that we don't hear any bad news.
Aunt Rose went to talk to the doctors a while ago, but he was still in surgery.
I was hugging my knees and staring at the wall in front of me, trying to empty my mind from any toxic thoughts.
I hate this place.
I have been in this hospital way too much, and I kept getting multiple flashbacks on my injuries, my hand moved slowly to trace my scar, and James noticed.
He put his hand on my shoulder, as a sign that he's there for me, and I looked at him in appreciation.
Aunt Rose entered the room seconds later, and I moved my head to an upright position, anticipating the news.
"He's out of surgery, but he's probably sleeping through the night, so there's no need to stay here till the morning, go back home and I'll call you as soon as he wakes up." She said mainly talking to me and Andrew.
I forgot about our stupid fight in the middle of all of this.
"No way, I'm spending the night." I said in a hoarse voice from not talking for too long.
"No, you both go home, I will spend the night with Dad." Andrew said sternly and I glared at him.
"So just because you're the man, you're spending the night? Guess what, I love him as much as you do and I'm spending the night here." I said stubbornly.
"I never said that, stop putting words in my mouth." He replied just as stubbornly and Rose was looking back and forth between us.
"I will when you stop using it to say the shit you usually say." I said and Rose finally intervened, probably shouldn't have cursed in front of her.
"Is there something going on here that I should know about?" She asked sternly glaring at both of us, and I felt like we were back to fifth grade.
"No." We both said simultaneously and she narrowed her eyes in suspicion, so she looked to Ian, second favorite after both of us.
"Yes, there is." He replied simply and I moved my glare from Andrew to him.
"Well, whatever it is, fix it before Dylan wakes up, he won't like the idea of you two fighting." She said sternly and we both nodded sighing.
"I'm going to see him now, you go home, and if you go to our place and pack some clothes for him, I will be so grateful, but don't bring any paperwork, he didn't have a heart attack from spending leisure time by the pool." She said kissing both of our cheeks and leaving.
"I'm going to head to my dad's place, I gotta get these clothes and deliver them to Rose today, in case he woke up." Andrew said and I instantly walked up to him.
"I'm coming with you." I said in a no-joking tone.
"It's a one man job, really." He said sarcastically and I glared so hard my eyes were actually hurting.
