New Girl In The City

Chapter 42.

I seriously don't have time to edit it. Ramadan and my college both started together. Sorry and enjoy.

After her horrible experience Kehara never thought marriage can bring happiness. She thought once she get's married her happiness will end. She will never be a happy independent girl again. But Aman proved it wrong. He proved her that marriage can bring happiness in her life. He proved her that just because she is married to him she will not be stopped from achieving her dreams. Kehara is happy with her decision. But how long? You cannot expect your life to be easy. Marriage is very difficult. You need to work hard to make it work. Time will tell how They will manage to get through all the difficulties.  As of now they are happy. 

It's Saturday! Aman is waiting for the clock to hit ten. He and his family except Dadajaan is sitting in the living room watching a movie. Aman is not at all interested in the movie. All he is interested is in that wall clock to hit ten. 

"Aman why are you constantly looking at that watch?" Mrs Khan asked with a mischievous smile. Moms Know everything.!

Aman's eyes widened. 

"I'm not doing anything of that sort." 

Aman's usual reply made everyone smile. 

"Bhai is a liar!"

"I'm not Noor!" 

"Yes you are!"

"Noor don't trouble your brother." Mr Khan said and Aman smiled in victory and Noor rolled her eyes. "He is desperately waiting for something.  Don't cause him more trouble" Now it was Noor's chance to smile and Aman's smile vanished. 

"Dad!"

"What dad."

"I'm not waiting for anything."

"Then give me your phone and go to sleep!" 

Aman cannot figure out how on earth they all know about their saturday plan. He is just staring his father and trying to recover from the mini shock he got. 

"Dad...."

"Oh shut up. I don't want to hear your silly excuses. "

"You both fight I will go and talk to my daughter in law." Mrs Khan said getting up.

Aman checked the time and it is 9:55. Once Mrs Khan and Kehara start to talk they can talk for hours without stopping. She cannot call her now!

"Mom you cannot talk to her now. It's almost ten!" As soon as Aman said those words he regretted it. He closed his eyes. Noor who was sitting on the floor jumped up to the couch. His mom sat down with a smile and his father raised his eyebrows in amusement.

"What's at ten!? Noor exclaimed.

"Nothing."

"No something." Mrs Khan said.

"Mom!"

"Don't Mom her. Say what will happen at ten."

"Nothing."

"Aman!"

"Bhai!"

All said together.

"I'm not going to say what's at ten. And BTW it's already ten so can I go?"

"No!" Noor and Mrs Khan said together.

"What!?" Aman said frustration evident in his tone.

"Enough ladies let him go."

" Thanks dad."

Aman got up and was about to leave when he turned and said.

"Please don't tell Dadajaan."
