New Girl In The City

Chapter 35.

"And you know he...."

Noor is continuously talking about her grandfather and Kehara is lost in her thoughts. Yesterday Sufyaan went to his new office for some work but when he came back he was angry. He was this angry last time when he saw Noman near the Masjid. After his and Kehara's mini fight things were back to normal. But since he returned from office yesterday he is not talking to her and is ignoring her. When Kehara tried to ask him what was wrong with him, he said he is not in a mood to talk and left. Kehara is already a mess and now Sufyaan is giving her a headache.

"And Bhai is upset."

Kehara was brought back on earth by those words.

"What Bhai?"

"He is upset."

"Why?"

"I don't know."

"Even Sufyaan Bhai is upset about something since the time he returned from the office yesterday."

"Really? That is weird."

"I know. Maybe they had a fight."

"Maybe but Aman Bhai is upset and lost from past three weeks. I wonder what is bothering him."

"I hope the function goes well."

"I hope the same." They were quiet for few seconds before Noor said" You know Kehara I think they were better in London."

"What do you mean?"

"Aman Bhai was happy there. And now here he is always lost."

"Workload." Kehara said more to herself.

"Maybe."

Kehara was about to say  that she is going as she is getting late for the office when Noor suddenly said.

"Or he is in Love!"

"What!"

"Yeah! It all make sense!  He was happy in London and here he is lost and sad. That means there is a girl in London!"

Kehara closed her eyes as she could not take it anymore. Things are getting more complicated or she is the one who is complicating it.

"Noor listen. We will discuss your brother's love life some other time. Now I have to run or I will be late for work. Bye AllahHafiz."

"AllahHafiz!"

Kehara got up and started walking towards the gate. She is starting to hate university because here Noor is always with her. And Noor and Aman cannot be separated. Noor talks so much about him that now Kehara knows everything about him. From his favourite colour to his favourite movie.

"You have to  go and talk to him Aman."

"So that he kills me!"

"He will InshaAllah not kill you."

"What if he is planning to kill me the very second he sees me?"

"We are talking about Sufyaan Aman. We know he is not a violent person."

"You remember the day Kehara's ex fiancé came here."

Afzal was quiet for sometime thinking of an answer. Aman made his way towards the kitchen to get some water. He shifted his phone to the other side and opened the fridge.

"Great Afzal is unable to answer?"

"Shut up Aman. He was really angry that day."

"He was more angry yesterday."
