chapter six

  "I can't believe you broke my most expensive vase Luke!" I hear Liz yell at him from the living room. The boys and I were currently in the kitchen emptying out their fridge.

"Mom it wasn't me! It was Jack and Ben! We came home yesterday and we heard it smash and they were fighting about who broke it! If you don't believe me, the boys and Teegan were here too! Ask them. Teegan come here!" Luke shouts furiously.

"Uh oh." I say as I walk out into the same room as them.

"Liz all we saw was the boys fighting when we walked in. We don't know how the broke it, we just know it was them."

"Told you!" Luke says with a smile. Liz just sighs and tells him she is sorry. Luke walks into the kitchen with me and the other guys laugh hysterically. It was getting to the point where Luke got annoyed and he punched Michael in the arm.

"Hey! Don't do that." I say while rubbing Michael's arm. Luke chuckled lightly.

"I can't wait to see Jack and Ben get bitched at!" He whispered excitedly. I pulled out a blue popsicle from their freezer and began to eat it. I like the blue, purple, and green ones because they change to color of my tongue.

"Shit!" I say as I look down at my phone. My dad had called me about ten times and I didn't answer one of them. I don't really care, but when I get home, he is going to beat my ass. The boys just look at me and I don't say anything.

All of the boys and I had gone to Walmart to go get ingredients for s'mores. We got kind of bored so we decided to play tag. As I was running away from Calum, who was currently it, I found a penny board. It was a light lilac color and the wheels were tie dye. I fucking needed it.

"Run, Teegan, run!" Michael squealed as he came around the corner of the isle I was in. I giggled and put the board down and started to throw my foot down as fast as I could. Michael was following me, Calum following him. Eventually I couldn't hear Michael's screams so that meant I was safe. I continued to skate down the isles looking at everything the store had in supply. I was going at a pretty fast pace and probably couldn't stop with just my foot.

"You can't catch me!" I heard someone scream from in front of me. Luke was running as fast as he could right towards me.

"Luke move!" I screamed at him, flailing my arms around trying to get his attention.

"What? Ow shit!" He said as we collided. I could hear the boys laughing hysterically behind us. My head hurt like a bitch. I opened my eyes to see that Luke had already stood up and his hand was out to help me up, wasn't the first time we've been in this situation. I got up and was dizzy as fuck.

"Where is my board?" I ask rubbing my temples. If it was broke, I was screwed. I've got like, what? Twenty bucks? Like fuck. I have more, just not with me and I don't want to go home.

"Over there and over there." Ashton says as he points to the pieces of the board. Motherfucker. To be honest, I'm just gonna put it back and grab a new one.

"Goddamnit." I mumble. I pick up the board and walk back to were I found them and grab a different one. I didn't see another one like it so I grabbed a black one with tie dye rainbow wheels. I hid the broken one under the rest of them. I don't even know how it broke, it was plastic. We walked back up to the front of the store and paid for the s'mores stuff and my board.

       The smell of the fire is so fucking amazing. We ran out of chocolate because on the way here, Michael was eating it all. Cal thought it would be cool to do the chubby bunny challenge, but Ashton ended up puking cause he had to many in his mouth. It was now 12:22 am and we were in the middle of nowhere, in the dark, surrounded by trees. We could easily get murdered or experience one, but who the fuck cared? Calum walked back to the car and pulled out a guitar and handed it to Luke.

"Do you want to hear some of the things we've been working on? They aren't exactly finished, but we want to hear your opinion." Michael looked very happy as he took the guitar from Luke and started to tune it. They started singing and I was in awe. The way they mixed all of their voices together and the chords of the guitar and Ash was drumming on the bench we sat on. The song ended and I was almost in tears because of how beautiful they sounded.

"Cal and I wrote that song. It's called Beside You. Did you like it?" Luke asked nervously.

"Are you kidding me? I fucking loved it! You guys sound so good together and I can't wait to hear more. Wait, there is more right?"

"Of course there is more." Ashton giggles. Mike puts the guitar down and walks over to me to cuddle.

"You looked cold." He says to me with a slight chuckle. I lay my head on his shoulder and close my eyes. The last thing I remember before falling asleep is hearing Mikey's laugh, which was the most adorable thing ever. These boys are going to impact my life a lot.

        I wake up to the sound of the boys trying to start the car and occasional curse words. I look up to see the hood of the car up and Ash behind it with a big cloud of smoke. There were blankets surrounding me along with a pale boy with beautiful green eyes.

"Good morning, sleepy head." He says to me with a small smile. When did I get in the car? He must've moved me here. Before I could reply, my phone rang.

"Hello?"

"Get home right now before I beat your ass!" My dad growled  at me before he hung up. I hope this car gets started soon. I lay back down and snuggle into Michael and try to go back to sleep, meanwhile trying to block out my father's screaming voice in the back of my head.

"I've  got to get home." I mumble into Michael's chest.  He hums in response telling me that he is pretty much asleep and didn't hear me. I just smile and lay back down. Fuck, I don't want to leave this spot. My dad would kill me if he found out I was with four boys by myself. Ash came back into the car and Calum moved my feet so that they were rested on his lap. Luke climbed in the front and I waited for the long drive back to town, which I dreaded oh so much.
