P.S, Jadeline's name is pronounced Jad-el-lynn. That's how I say it. However, you can pick the pronunciation. I want the readers to debate. :) (I made up the name)
Chapter 22: Julie's Story: Part Two
2 years later, I won an Emmy. Tot still didn't like me.
I did my best to please him. It didn't work.
I was perfect in every which way. Tot acted like he didn't care.
He always hung out with the girl.
What's so special about the girl? What does she have and I don't. I wondered.
The next day, Tot didn't go to school. I didn't bother to ask him. But then he was absent for the next day, and the next day, and the next day...
Finally, I asked him, "Why aren't you going to school lately? Are you sick?"
Tot sighed and said, "Leave me alone."
I wanted to be perfect to him. I asked him again but this time he said nothing. My instincts told me to just walk away. And that was what I did.

It was 7:30 am. I woke up, brushed my teeth, changed my clothes, combed my hair, and got ready to take the taxi to Hollywood.
Just as I was about to leave, I had heard something. I looked at my window and saw something scary. A girl was hanging off the window above mine! Her feet were dangling at my view. I didn't get to see her face clearly, because by that time, Tot had helped her up.
This must be the girl...
I called the Taxi driver to tell him I wasn't going. I wanted to see the girl that Tot loved.
I headed for his room upstairs. He was having a conversation-
A CONVERSATION! HE NEVER TALKS THAT LONG TO ANYONE!
She must be really special then...
I didn't barge in the door. I listened carefully at the front of the door.
"Why aren't you at school?" said the girl.
Her voice was really mellow and cute.
"Because no one wants me..."
"But I want you, you're my friend and I need you."
"Jadeline do you know why we sit away from everyone else? Why we only have each other? It's because we're... abnormal..."
I stopped. That word... The sound of it made my heart skip a leap. I've never heard anyone use the word to describe themselves. I despised it.
"I'm sorry, but what is your name?" she asked.
He didn't tell her his name?
"Tot. I do not care for names."
Our parents named him Tot because they didn't care too much for him. I'm not joking. They never talk to him. They know almost nothing about him. They only keep him around because of me. His emotion-less personality made people hate him. My parents hate him. They like me. I like Tot. He hates me. This cycle haunts me.
"Your name is Tot? My last name is Tater! We can be tatertot!" said the girl.
She seemed really nice. She didn't even judge him for his name. I was led into the belief that she wasn't so bad.
Tot kind of smiled. But Then he stopped and continued.
