All Time Low

i think my face went completely red. i lost the ability to speak. it was him, right there, smiling at me. God, he was even better in person. Alex Gaskarth from All Time Low got up and came to sit right next to me.

"hi!" he said, smiling again.

"oh- hi" i whispered. please don't make a fool of yourself, i begged. All Time Low had always been my favorite band. me and Maxx used to blast their songs in his garage and dance like crazy during the hot summer nights. and i probably have to add, i'd always had the biggest crush on Alexander William Gaskarth.

"how come you're in this place all alone? waiting for someone?" he offered.

ok, all i could think about were two things. either was he referring to the fact that i looked like a fucking homeless in a place i obviously couldn't afford or he was just the nicest guy on earth and sympathyzed for me for actually being all alone munching on my food. i chose the first one.

"um i... am waiting for my friends. they had a meeting and i uh... wasn't invited?" that sounded terrible. nice one, Nicky.

"i was actually supposed to be at a meeting as well. but i can't leave this place until i have filled up my tummy" he giggled.

"i know. i mean. no. but... my friends are at the same meeting as yours" yours? really? he hadn't even talked about his friends. what was i doing?

"oh really? so you're friends with the Set It Off dudes? man that's sick"

"i am" i blushed even more. "i've been friends with Maxx basically since i was born"

"that's awesome! this means you're coming on tour with us?"

"i... yes?"

he seemed satisfied. he got the last sip out of his cup and got up. "cool. hey, this one's on me -  what's your name again?"

"Nicole... uh Nicky"

"ok then Nicky! i'll see you tonight" he winked, leaving some dollars on the table to pay for my breakfast. he left me there staring at my cappuccino, my head still more confused than when i'd got in.

"you can't believe who i met at the bar while i was waiting for you guys" i almost yelled in Maxx's ear.

he giggled. "i already know everything. he told me"

"yeah but Maxx you have no idea! he's the sweetest guy ever, he knew i was feeling out of  place and came there to talk to me and offered me my breakfast and oh God" i sounded like a fangirl. i'd normally hate the idea. whenever i met someone famous i knew about - it had happened a couple of times considering i was friends with Set It Off- i might go a little less talkative than usual, but i always kept my cool and smiled and that was something i was really proud of. but this time i had completely lost it.

"you met our star" Cody smirked and i think i blushed a bit.

"Cody you have no idea"

"i have! remember that i sang on stage with these guys. they are awesome. Alex is a person i really look up to. he's probably one of the nicest guys on this damn planet"

he couldn't have described my feelings better. mine were just a little bit crazier but that's ok.

we were all in the main area of the bus. the boys were getting ready. i hadn't really seen them that day. the meeting had been longer than expected and as soon as they were done i had been grabbed by Steve who wanted to fill me in. it had been nice of him. once at the venue i couldn't have helped but calling Brie and i had missed the boys' soundcheck. too bad. i had actually hoped to see Alex again.
