What's In A Name?

There are thousands of names to pick from, and you want that perfect one for your baby, but to find that special one is sometimes harder than what you think. There's the odd celebrity names, traditional names, family names, names with special meanings, let's face it, theres HEAPS!

the baby: baby has periods of waking and sleeping and will react to loud noises, you may notice he is quiet and still until someone taps your abdomen or you hear a loud noise. It simply means you woke him up! baby is around 16.5cm long and weighs about 289 grams.

16th February 2014 (20 weeks and 1 day)

Summer's POV

Matty and I are currently relaxing in a beach house he had rented for the weekend. With Valentine's day just been, he surprised me by going away for the weekend. It's been nice here, away from the house for a few days. Although we spent the majority of the time here naked, we did go for a few walks down the beach, and Matt did a little fishing, which one night was served as dinner.

We still haven't set up the baby's room yet, as we are still trying to figure out what we can call him.  I wanted to get a few things for his room that had his name on it, so the name picking has to happen first. We decided to have another try at a name before we left for home, since we haven't thought about any since leaving for the beach house.

"How about Winter." Matty asked as he looked at his laptop screen, and the sheets of papers with dozens of names scribbled on them. I turned my head and looked at him with my face scrunched up. Winter? really? 

"Umm, Babe, why?" I'd love to hear his reason. I sat up more on the chair and propped my elbows on the table and rested my head on my hands.

"Well, you're Summer, we have an Autumn, so why not Winter?" I rolled my eyes at him.

"Babe, we are not having anymore seasons, or months or days of the week names, so no," i chuckled, that would just be too weird.

"Just wanted to see what you'd say." he chuckled and wrote down a few more on his list. I decided to let him choose the first name, since I named Autumn and I guess we can take turns with each child we have. 

"So what have you got on your top ten list, Babe?" I asked after I took a sip of my juice, he said I can say if I don't like them but also said, his decision is final. With that being said, I really hope I like it.

"Cade, Braxton, Jace, Blake, Aidan, Asher, Dylan, Jayden, Kye and Austin." once he said all those, he closed his laptop and set his list on the top and looked at me, waiting for him to hear my opinion. I rattled off all of those names with our surname to see if they sounded good together. All of those sound good with Taylor, and I must say I like his selection.

"I like all those, so now, knock that list down to five." I said now munching on some cheese and crackers, we've just had a big breakfast and I'm still hungry.

"Ok, top five, Aidan, Cade, Jayden, Braxton and Dylan," Wow, that was quick, I was expecting it to take a few more minutes. Since we have been working on names for a week now. 

"Good, now what?" I chuckled, hmm,, all those names sound good with Matthew as the middle name too, 

"Do you like them enough to have our son named one of them?" he asked, stealing some of my cheese. 

"Yeah, I do." I smiled happily, and slapped his hand away as he went to grab more, mine!

"Alright little mouse, write them down and I'll pull one out of my bucket hat." he chuckled and reached for his hat that was sitting on the bench behind him as I wrote out the five names.
