Episode 21
Esther picked up her phone, seeing scott’s name on the screen. Her heart sunk. She was hoping it would be kirstie. She had promised to call as soon as she got back from her honeymoon with kevin.
“hello?” she says.
“Hey, Es… I have some bad news…”
“Is kirs- is everyone okay?”
“Well, we don’t actualy know…” Scott is hesitant to say it. “did you hear about the earthquake??”
“Yes… I just assumed everyone awas alright.!”
“We’re not actually sure. There ws a huge hole in avi’s floor and we think he fell in.”
“Why did no one tell me?!” Esther’s anger builds. “My brother might be dead and you let me sit here thinking he’s okay for a week?”
“We don’t know if he’s okay or not… We tried to dig and find him but it didn’t work. We didn’t want to a larm you unless we knew we couldn’t getto him….”
“well, I’ll be over there soon.”
She hung up, angrily. Not even kirstie had told her.
