Ok. 5 minutes. Then I should get ready.

That way I will show up at 7:10, so I miss kick off but still early. So it doesn't look like I'm trying so hard.

The knock on my door cause me to jump, making me nearly fall off of my futon.

"Yes?" I say after I take a breath to calm down.

"There's someone here to see you." I heard my mom say. I looked up and saw Derek. DEREK.

DEREK. CLEAVER. IN MY HOUSE.

I jumped up and and tried to look as natural as possible. His hair was messed up, but in a cute way. He had tape around his wrists and holding a black marker.

"Hey, so I was thinking you might have forgotten our deal. So I wanted to cordially invite you again to wear my number on your face tonight. And look! You're already set to go." He said as he grabbed my wrist and pulled me to my feet.

"Um, how did you find out where I live?" I ask quietly. His hold on me almost left me speechless.

"Easy. I saw your file when I got your schedule," he said simply, stopping me at my door.

"Oh...ok." I said, still confused. I mean why did he care so much? I like it and all  but, I don't get it. "Um, also, I'm not ready. Like at all," I said looking down at myself. I was in grey sweat pants with the hem rolled down and just a white cami that didn't come past my belly button. I had zero makeup on and my hair was in a messy bun. And not the cute kind. The kind that looks like you were laying on it all day. Derek smiled and crossed his arms.

"Cassie, you look great, what are you talking about?" I felt my cheeks warms and looked away from his face, "I have an extra t-shirt in the car you can wear so it looks like you're a huge fan," he teased. I rolled my eyes and once again, took my wrist and we were off.

I said a quick goodbye to my mom after I grabbed my phone. She was always pushing for me to date someone rich so she didn't object at all to the sudden plans I made.

He brought me out to his black pick up truck, all shiny and new.

I got in the passenger side as he went in the back, got the shirt and threw it to me. He climbed in and started the engine.

"So you've been to a football game before, right?" He says, quickly glancing at me and then back at the road.

"Uh, of course," I say, I've been to one, I just haven't paid attention. Then a new thought hit me. "Uh, Derek?" I said quietly.

"Sup?" He says, I smile at how bubbly he is.

"Um, I don't think this is a good idea," I say, his smile drops immediately. He stops the truck and pulls over.

"And why is that?"

"Well, I don't really have any friends, I don't know anyone there, it would be a waste to use your marker on me." I confess, avoiding his eyes. I thought he might be mad, but he just starts the truck again, and starts laughs.

"Don't worry, I know where you can stand." He turns up the music to escape my protest.

When we arrived he walked me to the gate and told the worker I didn't need a ticket. The guy just nodded and smiled. Ok?

"Okay, are you ready for this?" He asks, taking the lid off of the marker.

"Not really."

"Perfect!" He gently moves my hair away and hold my chin up and over, to get a good ale next to my eye. I can smell his minty gum every time he breathes. The cool marker tip glides around the corner of my eye, making me want him to never stop. But he did, and after he admired his work, he finally let go of my chin.

"Beautiful," he says proudly, I blush and look away. He shirt was way to big but it was comfy.

"Alright so, Jen Catania and Taylor Anderson and looking for you, Taylor has a neon green shirt on, brown hair. Jen is blonde and is wear a black shirt and jeans. Got it?" I nodded, peering out to the bleachers as if I could see them now.

"Good luck," I say and I watch his smile grow bigger.

"I won't need it. I just need you here." He winks. goodbye. I can die now

please punch me in the face

it would be less painful.

I laughed nervously, my heart overwhelmed. I could tell my face was red hot but I couldn't look away.

"Catch ya after the game, we'll go out, my treat." I nodded again and he ran back to the locker game.
