Love in Her Eyes, Hurt in Her Life

Chapter 3

It's been two weeks. I'm bandaging up Jack in a hallway. We're on the ground by my locker and Jack's locker. Our lockers are right next to each other. Thankfully no one is down here. Everyone's at lunch. Flynn and Jack got into a fight before lunch. Jack got a few scrapes and bruises, so I'm helping him.

"You really don't have to help me, Rapunzel." Jack explains "I can take care of myself."

"I know, but I really didn't want to be in another room with Flynn." I say "All my classes this morning have been with Flynn. I need a break." I have to get away from Flynn today. It seems like he is everywhere nowadays.

"Understandable." Jack says. He then groans in pain and I apologize. "This one bruise on right bicep is bad. It hurts a lot." I think for a few seconds. Then something comes to me.

"This will probably sound stupid, but when I got hurt when I was younger, she would sing me this song and then kiss the hurting spot." I explain. Jack probably thinks that I'm losing it.

"Sing then." Jack says. My eyes open wider. "Really?" I ask a bit surprised. "Sure, just leave out the kissing part." Jack says with a small smile. "I was going to leave that part out." I say.

I wait a few seconds before I start. I think I remember all the words to it.

"Flower, gleam and glow. Let your power shine. Make the clock reverse. Bring back what once was mine. Heal what has been hurt. Change the fates design. Save what has been lost. Bring back what once was mine. What once was mine." I sing slowly and softly.

"That was really nice." Jack says with a smile. After a few minutes of Jack and I talking and me finishing up bandaging him up we head to the cafeteria.

We find our friends at the back of the cafeteria and we join them. We talk for the fifteen minutes that we have left of lunch. Then it's off to Art, thankfully.

After school we all head over to Merida's house. We all sit down on the big sectional in the living room. We made a few bowls of popcorn and decide to watch Pirates of Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest on Netflix.

After the movie we just end up talking and finish eating the popcorn. We decide to order Jet's Pizza for dinner.

"I thought we could all go horseback riding tomorrow after school." Merida says "We got a new horse a few days ago and I've been wanting to ride him. I figured why not go riding as a group. We have enough horses now." We all agree and continue talking. When the clock reaches 7:15 pm I decide to head home. I get in my white Escalade and drive home.

When I get home I see that my parents aren't home yet. Usually they are home by 7:00 pm. It's now 7:38 pm. They must be working late tonight. I go to the kitchen and pour a glass of milk. I then head up to my room and put on pj's.

I take Pascal out of his cage and I start playing with him. I then start thinking off how school went. Flynn gave me a bloody nose today in gym, stole my notes from statistics, and, again, shoved me against the lockers. Thankfully I have statistics with Hiccup so I could just copy his notes.

I put Pascal back in his cage and crawl in bed. I don't fall asleep. I just think about Flynn and the bullying. I don't know what I did to get this. Did I do something?

Hey y'all! Just to make it clear, Jack and Rapunzel are NOT going to happen. Rapunzel was just being nice and helping out Jack. Tell me what you think.
