Love in Her Eyes, Hurt in Her Life

Chapter 4

Merida, Astrid, Elsa, Anna, and I are in the locker room. We are getting ready for gym. I hate that today we are playing dodgeball. It's one of my least favorite things to do in gym.

"You know we will protect you." Astrid says tying her tennis shoes. Astrid is very athletic so I know she can protect me.

"Thank you, Astrid, but I don't need protecting all the time." I say putting my hair into a ponytail. I close my locker door and we head to the gym.

After dodgeball we head back to the locker room. I look into the mirror in my locker and I see I have a bruise on my forehead just above my right eye. Flynn hit me so hard in the middle of the game. He got in trouble for it though.

I just finished History and thankfully it's my last class of the day. I head to my locker to grab the rest of my books. I see Jack about to open his locker. Something falls out of his locker. Jack picks it up and automatically looks at me.

"What is this?" Jack says once I get to my locker. I look and it's a picture. It's a picture of me kissing Jack. Obviously it's photoshopped because Jack and I have never kissed. It must be a picture of Jack and Elsa kissing but me photoshopped in Elsa's place.

Everyone looks at Jack and I. They start laughing and I'm pretty sure I hear some ooo's. Everyone knows that Elsa and Jack are dating. Flynn then comes up to me.

"Now, who could have done something like that?" Flynn says not really in a questioning tone. Flynn then walks away and I see Elsa come up to me. She seems really mad. Oh gosh.

"What the heck is this?!" Elsa says angrily to Jack and I. Jack and I just look at each other.

"Elsa, I swear, Jack and I didn't kiss." I explain "That photo was obviously photoshopped." Elsa then slaps me across the face and does the same to Jack. I've been getting hurt by Flynn for four years, now I'm getting hurt by Elsa. I leave and start running.

I run into the parking lot and find my car. A white Escalade with black interior and leather seats. I just sit in the drivers seat and cry. I don't get why Flynn keeps doing this to me. I want to know why. A few minutes later Hiccup gets into the passenger seat.

"I saw you running and thought I would see what was wrong." Hiccup says "Now, what's wrong?" He sounds really concerned. How has he not seen the picture or heard about it yet? I explain the picture, what happened with Flynn, and what happened with Elsa. "I'm so sorry, Rapunzel. I want to let you know that I don't believe that photo that you told me about. I know you would never kiss someone else's boyfriend."

"I thought Elsa knew that as well. Obviously she doesn't." I say crying. Hiccup tries to give me a hug but the console is kind of in the way. He tries to comfort me by trying to make me laugh. It kind of helps and works.

"Now that I have you laughing, let's head back inside." Hiccup says "We have statistics." I wipe away the tears and try to make myself look like I wasn't crying. We head back in and everybody looks at me. I feel so small.

After school I head home. Elsa and Anna are mad at me and Anna is making Kristoff not talk to me. My two cousins. Mad at me for something I didn't do. But because it's a really good photoshop it seems so real. I'm sitting on the sectional that's in my living room. Hiccup, Astrid, Merida, and Jack are with me. We are trying to figure out a way to prove that Jack and I didn't kiss.

I'm so sick of Flynn bullying me. I don't get how a lot of girls find him attractive. He's not. Even if he does have pretty, chestnut brown eyes...wait what?

"Rapunzel, even though you're really mad at Flynn, you still have that love and happiness in your eyes." Merida says kindly. I smile at her comment. We end up talking about a bunch of random things until 6:49 pm. Everybody leaves except for Jack.

Jack and I just sit and talk. We keep apologizing to each other regarding Elsa earlier. We also keep saying how it's neither of our faults. We keep blaming Flynn. We don't have proof that it's him, but we plan on finding proof.
