Love in Her Eyes, Hurt in Her Life

Chapter 6

It's finally the weekend. Right now I'm walking through Cherry Lane Park. It's so pretty. All the flowers, the green grass, the fountains, and the ponds. I continue walking along a cement path. I end up walking to the lake. It's so pretty.

I end up just looking at the lake for about fifteen minutes. I start to walk away but I get knocked to the ground and I took someone with me. Or they took me with them. What ever way it goes.

"I'm so sorry." A guy says trying to get up. "It's fine. I wasn't paying attention either." I explain, then I recognize who the voice belongs to. "Flynn?" I say shocked. He never apologizes. "Blondie? I bumped into you?" Flynn says questioning himself. I nod slowly.

"I'm sorry I got in your way." I say "Stop apologizing and get out of my way next time." He says with a mean voice and continues running. Flynn was listening to music and wasn't paying attention and I just wasn't paying attention in general.

Weird thing is, Flynn actually sounded nice and apologetic before he realized it was me. Why is it only me? I pull out my phone from my purse and I call Merida.

"Hey, will you meet me at the lake in Cherry Lane Park?" I ask kindly. Merida agrees and she will be here in about fifteen minutes. The fifteen minutes go by quickly.

"Hey, what did you want to talk about?" Merida says embracing me in a hug. "Something happened with Flynn before I called you." I say and then I explain to her about the run-in with Flynn.

"Are you serious?" Merida says surprised. I nod. I'm a bit surprised myself. It's so weird. "I just don't get how he sounded so nice and then he realized it was you." Merida continues.

"I know right." I say "He also called me 'Blondie', then again he has been doing that since freshman year." I've just acquired the nickname Blondie by Flynn over the past few years. Another thing I can add to the list of things I don't understand about Flynn. The list just seems to be growing and growing.

Merida and I start walking around the lake and we just talk. We walk around the lake and then we head back to the parking lot. Merida and I finish talking and I drive to Salata to meet the rest of my friends. It takes about twenty minutes to get there.

After I make my salad I go and sit with Hiccup and Astrid outside. We are waiting for the rest of our friends to get here. After everyone gets here I think might have to tell them about he run-in with Flynn at the park.

"I have something to tell you all." I say and I explain to them what happened at the park. They all agree on how it's weird that Flynn was nice before he found out it was me.

"I'm going to do something to that Flynn Rider." Jack says angrily and he stands up. "No, your not." I say "I get that what Flynn did was wrong, but he's been doing a lot of wrong things before now." Jack is a really good friend and I know he would do almost anything for me, but he can't get in trouble for hurting Flynn.

After lunch we all head to my house. We decide to watch the show Friends on Netflix. This is usually our go to show on the weekends. Let's just say one of our homes is usually filled with laughter. We are on season five. We end up watching about seven episodes. We got such a core workout with all the laughing.

We have re-watched Friends several times. It's one of our favorite shows. Rachel is my favorite character. Elsa and Astrid like Monica. Anna likes Phoebe. Jack, Kristoff, and Hiccup all like Ross. Yes, we all know what happens and we have heard all the jokes multiple times, but we still laugh every time.

I keep thinking about what happened with Flynn earlier. I know I shouldn't keep thinking about it, but I do for some reason. I can't help but not think about it.
