"Why do I have to wear a wig?" I say, holding up the disgusting material. I had walked everywhere, probably found wonderland and they call me here to give me a disguise!
"So that you're undercover," Eric comments.
"But no one will know me anyway!"
"Exactly, let's keep it that way."
I sigh in defeat. "What poor animal did you shave to get this?" I say inspecting the brown mess.
(I'm not making fun of Kristen Stewart's brown hair just because it looks like that with the picture above, I just needed a picture of her with brown hair)
"Oh, ha ha. It's obviously real hair," Eric retorted back. He had to be joking! God bless the poor owner of this hair.
"Just try it on," Eric says, pointing to the wig
I swirl my red hair up into a bun before sliding on the brown wig.
When I stand up straight to face Eric, he bursts out laughing.
"Ohh...." He tries to form words between his laughs, "you look ridiculous!"
"Wow! Thanks!" I reply sarcastically
"Don't do that, you break your cover with that red-head temper," he comments.
"That's not true! Red heads do not have a temper!" I say defensively.
"All except you apparently," Eric smirks
"I'm just going to ignore you and leave," I pull off the wig and escape from D4069.
As I passed a cleaning lady, I was tempted to ask her to throw the wig away. But another thought hit me, if I don't complete this mission, that could be me, cleaning the hallways.
I head into the exit room. Since SAMA is an undercover organisation, we have an exit room which can lead you to any alley in the world you want.
I approach George, the manager of the exit room.
"Where to today, Sarah?" he asks.
"Not sure," I shrug, " I just got my first mission."
"Oh! Congrats! I think they sent me a list here somewhere," he shuffles the paper on his control desk around. "Here it is. New York, Ellekin State School. Whoa, real school for Sarah." I roll my eyes. "It'll be fine, I'm almost a secret agent."
"Yeah, still. Imagine, real people and no awesome George, how will you cope?" He smiles, handing me a sheet of paper.
"Do I need a uniform?" I ask, trying to memorise the name of 'my' school.
"I knew there was something else!" George picks up a squished box from the corner of the room, "This should have your full uniform, some money and a fake ID. You come back here every night since there's no point buying you a house, unless you need one. And you might want to hurry, school starts in 20 minutes."
"20 minutes!"
I grab the box and stand at the alley entry, a swirling black portal on the wall.
George punches in coordinates, the black hole swirls faster, creating a loud noise. He yells to me, "Go when you're ready! Good luck!"
I step in and the blackness swallows me.
I merge out of the shadows, grateful that no one saw me. It would be kinda hard to explain why a girl just came out of a building.
I look across the road and there is 'my' school. It is a typical brick building with white accents, like in those American high school movies.
I debate with myself how I'm going to make it to the girls' bathroom, unnoticed. I could just walk in. Then again, it was likely that I'd be questioned, wearing all black with a gun strapped to my leg.
I open my pouch on my belt. Inside was crushed invisi, a herb created by SAMA which allows anyone, and what they're holding to turn invisible.
I pop some into my mouth and wait for the normal fizzy sensation to pass.
When I believe it has worked, I pick up the box and walked calmly across the street . Luckily the invisi herb had set to work. I wasn't getting any strange looks from the students crowding the hallway.
Although the school was big, it was nothing like SAMA's headquarters. I managed to locate the bathroom without difficulty. I close the door behind the first stall and quickly change into the uniform provided. It was the typical; white shirt, red tie and red skirt.
Ok, so I've never been to high school, or any school for that matter, but this what they wore in movies.
Looking through my pouches, I find the howdy wowdy powder, a powder that can erase small spells and crafted herbs and spices.
I take just the right amount and feel the fizzy sensation as before.
I strap the gun and pouches under my skirt, around my waist. I retrieve black school shoes from the bottom of the box and slide those on. I notice they are designed to look like school shoes, but are flexible and light, allowing of a quick getaway.
With great hesitation, I pull the wig on my head, making sure no red streaks are visible.
"Well here goes nothing," I whisper to myself before putting everything back in the box and exiting the bathroom, in hope of finding some sort of front office.
