My mission, no matter what

I walk around Manhattan heading in no particular direction.
I head into a small cafe and sit at the furthest table.
Bringing out my walkie-talkie, I call and wait for someone to pick up.
"Hello, hello, this is Eric over," the walkie-talkie stutters.
"Hello, this is Sarah Jane Thompson, the trainee with a report, over," I speak back.
"Sorry Sarah has no one told you, over."
"Told me what sir? over." What was he talking about?
"You have over done your time limit, over."
"What?" he can't be serious.
"A S.A.M.A agent need to get the job done promptly and I'm afraid for a small mission, you have taken very long, over."
"But it's not as small as you think! There's more of them, please Eric you can't do this," I was begging, this was my dream and he was taking it away.
"I'm sorry, rules are rules. If you say it's big then we can send someone to replace you next week, over."
"But it's my mission!"
"And you haven't been able to complete that mission. Don't worry, there are other jobs around headquarters that you can do. You don't need to be a field agent, over."
"No, anyone you send in won't have the information I have."
"Then you can tell them. Look, I'm really busy, report to S.A.M.A headquarters ASAP, over."
"You might have given up on me but I haven't! I don't need S.A.M.A to tell me how to do this, goodbye."
"Sarah-" I cut the connection before he can talk back.
"Are you going to order or leave," the waitress asks me.
"Leave," I grumble at her, collecting my belongings. I walk into the busy streets, thinking about what I was going to do.
I can't believe that just happened. How can they just cut me off like that!
There were children of the Greek Gods everywhere! Yet S.A.M.A won't believe me.
My mission was becoming increasingly complicated by the second.
I need help, but S.A.M.A is against me. Well, maybe not all of the agency. I call over a cab and tell the taxi driver the address. I was going back to school.
