"Ella is out of surgery, she's in the ICU"
He explained looking at me I was standing there feeling like at any second my knees was going to give way.

"She's in the ICU?" I questioned him

"Yeah Ella has extreme swelling to the brain. I've shutdown Ella's brain function"

"You what?" I said shocked "what are you saying?"

"Ella's in a coma" Andrew said from next to me.

"You put Ella in a coma?" I asked the doctor he nods his head

"It's her best chances. It gives her body chance to heal, gives the chance for the brain to heal the swelling to go down"

"Isn't this dangerous?" I asked him

"It can be as we are protecting the brain but all the other parts of the brain won't be getting what they need necessarily. The longer she's under the harder it is for the body to wash out the drugs from her system"

"How long she going to under for?" Andrew asked him

"You are?" The doctor questioned Andrew

"I'm Ella's dad" he said outstretching his hand to the doctor to shake.

"It all depends on how Ella responds. It's a waiting game" the doctor said looking to us "mom dad can come see her" the doctor said to us

Andrew and I follow the doctor to Ella seeing her laying there with machines around her and tubes coming out her body broke my heart.

I stood there crying out seeing my baby laying there like that. Andrew grabs hold of me as I felt like I was going to collapse in shock seeing her like that she looked so small and fragile.

Hours passed and Andrew and I sat there staring at Ella. I hear a knock on the glass window seeing Norman standing there Andrew gets up leaving me with Ella coming back a few minutes later
"Norman's going" Andrew told me I get up walking outside looking at him

"I want to thank you" I said leaning on the wall "I couldn't of gotten through earlier without you"

"Course you could've your strong. That's why that awesome kid in there will get through this because you made her." He said pulling me into a hug.

"Thank you" I said again over his shoulder.

"You don't have to thank me I'm here for you guys day and night" Norman pulls away from me walking away from me I sigh out walking into the room seeing Andrew looking at me

"You alright?" He asked me I walk over sitting on his lap shaking my head at him
"No" I said resting my forehead on his

"She's going to be just fine" Andrew said looking into my eyes.

I shook my head at him tears in my eyes "what about if she isn't?"

"We will cross that line when we come to it" he said I close my eyes "hey Riley look at me" Andy said I opened my eyes looking at him "she's gonna be okay. I love you"

"I love you too" I said nodding my head

I sat cuddled into Andrew looking over Ella when Andrew taps my leg "I really have got to go" he said shocking me.

"What? Now?" I asked standing up

"The sooner I go the quicker I can get back to you and Ella. I'm going to be gone a few hours at least talk to her grab some of my stuff then I will be back to you"

"What if something happens while your gone? I can't handle this on my own."

"Nothing is going to happen. But, if it does ring me I will be back straight away." Andrew leans in kissing me on the lips "I don't want to go but I want to get this out the way. Then I can focus fully on Ella"

"I understand" I nodded "go" tears filled my eyes watching him leave, I was worried what about if he and his wife talk things over and stay together? Would he do that to me? Do I have him one hundred percent?
