Twenty-eight

"I'm coming with you" I said getting up off the bed in tears grabbing Andy by the hand holding on to him for dear life

"You can't come you just been in a accident you nearly drowned"  Andy stated

"She's my daughter!" I cried hysterically.

"The police have been called, I'm going to talk to the school I will call Sawyer keeping you updated" Andy said pulling me into him kissing my head before walking away.

I watch him leave talking to police outside my room he walks off a few minutes later and the police come in.
"Riley" the female officer said sticking her head around the door

I nod my head sobbing as Sawyer walks over to me helping me sit on the bed
"We are here to ask you some questions about the accident this morning and now about Ella"

"Do you think there linked?" Sawyer questioned the female officer..

"That's what we trying to work out" she replied.

I sit there crying hysterically not being able to focus on anything I didn't know what happened this morning all I could think about was I was stuck in this place when I should be with Andrew looking for our daughter.

"Witnesses have said it was a black truck that crashed into you, do you remember anything?" The male officer said.

"I don't I didn't see it till it hit me"

"Has Ella been acting differently recently?" The female officer asked me.

"No she's like any six year old. She's happy." I explained.

"Has she said anything out of the ordinary" the female officer asked me I sit there sobbing into my brother

"No! Look why you asking me this shit! You should be finding out how my daughter disappeared from school!"

"We are working on that Riley. But everything you tell me here now is helpful to us"

"Ella wanted to take her overnight bag to school with her this morning" I explained to the officers remembering this morning.

"Why was that?" The female officer asked me.

"She said she was going on a trip a secret trip. She mentioned it last night when I was bathing her, I put it down to kid talk"

"Did she mention who she was going with.?"

"No. A special friend. She said daddy was going, but I couldn't go" I said remembering what she said.

The officers look at each other "Mr Lincoln was going?" The male officer asked me.

"He told her he wasn't taking her on any trip" I told them panicking slightly feeling like I just got Andrew in some trouble.

The male officer gets up walking outside talking into his radio I watch him panicking wiping my sweaty palms on my clothes
"Andy wouldn't hurt Ella" I cried "he wouldn't take her!" I added on to the female officer.

The male officer walks back in "another unit at school has picked him up"

"Your joking right? You arrested Andrew? Your got the wrong person!" I cried being held back by Sawyer as the police officers thank me for the cooperation.

I get up looking at Sawyer crying "what the hell have I done?" I asked him in disbelief  "Andy has nothing to do with this!"

"I know that, the police will soon as well" Sawyer replied

I pace back and forth thinking about what Ella had been saying to me the past day I then remembered her mentioning a church
"Keys" I said outstretching my hand to Sawyer.

"What?" Sawyer said looking at me..

"Car keys, now!" I demanded not moving my hand

"Riley you can't you have a concussion you are in no fit state to be leaving the hospital" he said firmly

"I don't care. My daughters missing, her dad the man I love more than anything is more than likely there prime suspect right this second and I know for a fact they have the wrong person!"

"We don't know where to start" Sawyer said reluctantly handing me his keys.

"I have an idea" I said leaving the room with Sawyer.
