Twenty-nine

"Will you slow the fuck down!" Sawyer screams at me as I speed out the hospital car park.

"You wanna not scream at me! My heads banging" I snapped as I fly down the road over taking cars

"Will you calm down! this car is my life!" He shouts at me as I drive his Nissan GT-R in and out the traffic.

"My daughter is missing!" I screamed at him reminding him his niece is missing.

"Where we going anyway" he asked me.

"Church" I said putting my foot down so I didn't have to stop at the lights up ahead.

"Church?" Sawyer said raising an eyebrow looking to me.

"Yeah Ella kept going on about church" I informed him

"You don't know what church" Sawyer pointed out

"I know that's why I'm going to one out this area. Whoever took her won't be stupid enough to stay in this area with risk of being caught"

I pick up Sawyer's phone "ring the station find out what's happening with Andy" I asked him

Sawyer couldn't get through to anyone much to my annoyance and i pull over getting Sawyer to go on to google maps looking at the local churches
"There's three churches in this area" Sawyer said handing me his phone

"She's close I can feel it" I said looking at his phone

"Which church?" Sawyer asked me I shrug my shoulder

"This one" I pointed to one of them

"Why that one?" Sawyer questioned me

"It's out the way in the middle of nowhere. It's remote" I pointed out showing him he nods his head as I hand him his phone before pulling away putting my foot down.

Ten minutes later I pull into the remote area of the church getting out the car it was quite there was only one other car parked up which I didn't recognize.

Sawyer and I walk up to the church doors and I open the door sticking my head inside, the inside was massive though I hadn't been in many churches.

I walk inside looking around as I walk down the aisle of the church with Sawyer behind me, I then see something on the floor that i recognised it was a hair clip, I crouch down picking it up, it was Ella's she had it in her hair that morning.

"Ella" I call out quietly looking around I then hear a door close I run in direction the sound come from I open the door seeing it was a side door heading outside.

I run outside seeing Ella in a woman's arms "Ella!" I screamed seeing the blonde woman running through the trees
"Mommy!" She screamed

"Call the police! Now!" I screamed at Sawyer as I took off running after Ella

"Mommy!" Ella cried as she disappeared through trees and brambles

"Baby!" I shouted as I run as fast as I could following them.

In the distance I see Ella and the woman stop on a cliff top, I run stopping looking at the woman who held tightly on to Ella, the woman turns looking at me and I see it was Toni she had dyed her hair.

"You survived?" Toni said looking me up and down with disgust.

"It was you?" I questioned Toni in disbelief that she would go to them lengths to get me out the picture.

"Sadly yes" she nodded.

"Why?" I asked her fighting the urge to walk forward and take Ella but I couldn't risk it not when there was like a 30ft drop into a lake on the other side.

"You was in the way. You took what was mine" she sneered looking me up and down.

"So you tried to kill me! So you could get Andrew back? And play happy family's with my daughter!"

"Well that was the plan! But you just won't go" she said shaking her head at me looking at me again in disgust.

"Your plan wouldn't of worked anyway. While you have been hiding with my daughter. The police have arrested Andrew. They think he has something to do with Ella's disappearance"

"Your lying" Toni said looking at me in disbelief

"No Toni I'm not" I said stepping forward but Toni steps back

"Mommy" Ella cries looking over the edge seeing the drop

"It's okay baby don't look down" I said to her "Ella baby look at me. Keep your eyes fixed on me"

Ella looks at me crying "mommy I want daddy"

"I know baby, it's okay your going to be okay" I said trying to reassure her. "Toni can you just give me Ella so I can get her away from the edge let her go to her uncle and then we can talk"

"Talk about what! That you stole the man I love! Took him away from me!  you have what I always wanted"

"I'm sorry that I got in the way. I never meant to cause all this. When I met Andrew I didn't know he was married"

"You still fucked him. He still got you pregnant! He never wanted kids with me. Told me that he didn't have time for them. But the way he is with Ella. It hurts"

"Toni I'm sorry I" I tried but she interrupted me

"I don't need your pity. I don't need nothing from you. I just need to be you!"

"You can't be me" I said to her shaking my head "your yourself. There's only one you. And that's what makes you unique and pretty damn awesome"

"If it's that awesome to be me, you be me. I'm fed up with being myself" Toni steps backwards again holding on to Ella.

"Toni!" I shouted seeing she was dangerously close to the edge "please don't do this. I'm begging you. Give me my baby"

"You took something I loved so I'm taking something you love" she said going to fall backwards.

"You can be me!" I shouted out "i will give you everything I have. Including Andy. If you just stop and back away from the edge"

I step forward again hoping what I said was going to work. "Riley your a lier" Toni said falling backwards with Ella who screams out.
