~Lexis P.O.V.~
~The Next Day~

Malcolm is one of my best friends now. That kid n I were laughin so much yesterday, we got kicked out of Cold Stone cause we were being too loud. He needa join the gang cause shit, that was just too funny.

"Morning Nelle" I said as I walked into the kitchen. She was sitting on the counter eating an apple

"Morning, so how was your date with Malcolm" She laughed

"It was perfect! He bought me ice cream and we went for a long romantic walk around the parking lot" I said in a girly voice "I think we're going a little too fast in our relationship but I'm fine with that" She nearly choked on her apple from laughing

"Of course, well Riley and I got more shit to do today, so I'll see you a little later on" She threw the core down the sink and gave me a kiss before grabbing her keys

"Alright, love you"

"Love you too!" She said as she closed the door behind her. I pulled out my phone and decided to text a friend

Me: What's poppin?
Malcolm: Nun, What's up?
Me: I'm bored as fuck, Where you at?
Malcolm: At home, why?
Me: I'm comin to get you. You're comin to the trap
Malcolm: Trap?
Me: You'll see, be there in 10

"DeShawn! I needa drop you off at Leah's before she bitches at me!" I yelled as I walked back up the stairs

"Dad, I don't wanna go camping with her and boyfriend/husband guy" He said as he stood at the top of the stairs

"I ain't all that happy either, but just go to make her happy. You'll be back before you know it" I patted his back and walked into my room.

~A Few Minutes Later~

"Alright, Trey, you and Ty finna be at the house by yourselves. Y'all know the rules. Trey you better not leave cause I ont want Ty alone here. Do I make myself clear?" I said as I looked him dead in the eyes

"Yes Dad. When will y'all be home?" He asked

"A couple hours, see ya later. Come on DeShawn" I grabbed my keys and walked out the door behind DeShawn. I felt bad for him, he didn't wanna go but he had no choice

"Do you even know who the guy is?" DeShawn asked as I pulled out of the drive way

"His name Aaron right?" He nodded his head "that's all I know about him. I ont like the fact she has a guy I ont know around you" Leah knows that's one of my biggest pet peeves and any woman that is ever around DeShawn, Leah knows. Leah knows all the Aunts that are a part of his life and all I ask is that she let me meet the guys who are in and out of DeShawn's life, just so it gives me a sense of relief.

"I don't like him." He said as he looked out the window

"Why not? Do you not like the fact, your mother has a new man in her life?"

"It's not that. I just don't like, how every time I go over to her house, there is always some new guy. It's annoying" he said with a little laugh

"Yeah it ain't right but hang in there. When you're 16, you'll get the choice when you want to go see your Mom"

The rest of the car ride was spent cracking jokes, making fun of Nelle, and just small talk.

"You don't know how much I hate driving out to her house." I laughed when we pulled up

I hopped out and walked up to her door with DeShawn trailing behind me. I knocked on her door and just waited

"Hey Lexis" She said as she gave me a hug. "Hey Sweetie, long time no see" she gave DeShawn a kiss on the cheek after she let me go

"Hey Leah" I said as She stepped aside for DeShawn and I to walk in

"Hey Mom" DeShawn said in an unenthusiastic tone

"DeShawn, go to your room and start packing for the trip" Leah said as she sat down on the couch. I looked at her and she really has changed. She got a ring on her finger too

"What's new now, Leah?" I said as I leaned up against the wall

"Well, Aaron proposed to me a little while ago" she smiled as she flashed me her ring

"Good for you, anything else?" I rose an eyebrow

"Well, I'm expecting too. 9 weeks along" she smiled again rubbing her belly

"Congrats, Aaron the father right?"

"I actually don't know. It's either him or a guy I had an affair with" a bashful look appeared on her face

"Of course that's what would happen with you. Why wouldn't it? Well I hope Aaron the father otherwise that would be hella fucked up" it's what she deserves. Poor baby that's being brought into this world

"I hope so too, what about you?"

"Well Nelle and I are engaged and we're trying to have one more baby together" and her expression shifted to anger and jealousy within a split second "what's wrong now?"

"It's nothing." She snapped

"Oh my god. I try to be civil and have a simple conversation with you and you go into ratchet bitch mode"

"Well it's still not fair how you do everything for Chanelle and don't do a damn thing for me. I am the mother of one of your 3 kids too" this is why I hate dropping DeShawn off.

"What the fuck you complaining about? You're engaged and expecting a baby. You got a huge ass house, nice cars, expensive ass ring. Nelle has all that too, what's the point of me helping you aside from our son, if you got Aaron?"

"Before I was with Aaron, and it was just DeShawn and I. You didn't do a damn thing to help me but you did everything for Chanelle"

"I couldn't give you shit cause you always bitched at me. I spoiled DeShawn cause he's my son. Leah, you're nothing more than just a woman who had my son. We ont got a relationship or anything." At the point DeShawn walked out. I didn't like arguing in front of him. "I'm done, I got my point across. I'll see ya in a few days, DeShawn. Be on your best behavior" I gave him a hug then walked out the front door

"I'm not done-"

"Go away, I got shit to do. Go on the trip and leave me alone" I hopped in my car and reved the engine so I wouldn't have to hear her yelling. I think there's a little part of her, deep down that still has a thing for me...Even though she's engaged and expecting.

~Alvaro P.O.V.~

It was Vince, JJ, Marcus, Nicole n I at the trap.

Nicole n I had an interesting night. Let me just tell you; my strategies for discipling her would probably have ended up Nicole being taken away by CPS. But on the bright side, she most definitely is in line.

"Uncle Varo, when is Dad coming to get me?" She asked as she sat in my lap

"When he shows up" I laughed

"Okay" She's scared of me now which is just hilarious.

"Varo, the fuck you do to the poor girl? I'll tale you home Nicole" Vince said as he stood up

"I disciplined her. It's something she was never introduced to, but now she's a fixed child" I smiled to myself. Nicole got up and walked over to Vince

"Of course, aight, I'll be back later. We doin a job later so be here by midnight" he dapped us and walked out with Nicole

"How are you feelin Alvaro?" Marcus asked with a laugh

"I think it's time for Officer Varo to come back. I got a great idea to scare the shit out of Arls n Nicole" I laughed

"Man, knock off the cop bit, it's scary shit" JJ laughed

"You're just sour cause you pissed yourself when I pranked you!" It was epic. I was hidin behind his house and I kicked his door in and arrested him. He literally pissed himself from being so scared

"Fuck you. I can't wait till someone gets your ass for all the shit you pull. I swear you're probably going to be the cause of all our high blood pressure and heart attacks we'll later on have to deal with. I feel so much anxiety whenever I'm out in town and I ont know where you are. That shit eats me alive" JJ said as he grabbed a beer

"I know what he's scared of." Marcus said with a devious smile

"What? What could I be scared of? I ain't scared of nothin" he leaned over to JJ and whispered in his ear

"He is?" JJ laughed

"Yup, so I got an idea" Marcus said

"Ha! Just try me" I heard Lexis walk in with some kid behind him "sup Lexis, who that?"

"This is Malcolm, this kid sick as fuck" He laughed as he dapped us

"Aye Marcus. I was right, this be Breezy! Man what's on n poppin with chu!" I laughed as I pulled him down onto the couch

"Life, you?" He smiled

"Thug Life for me! Shit join the gang! We so laid back cause other gangs know not to fuck with us" I pulled out a beer for him

"Nah I ain-"

"Fuck that, you on the gang cause Varo said so" The guys just shook their heads

~3 Hours Later~

We was all drinking.

"Aight, Tonight Ima be cupid. We goin to the strip, we finna find you a girl, turn it into a housewife and you can be happy with life" I laughed as I hung onto Malcolm's neck

"Alright, let's go!"

"Y'all can't go nowhere, y'all are drunk" Lexis laughed, he only had one drink so he has to drive us

"Drive us!" I threw my keys at his chest and stumbled to get up

"Y'all are idiots, but fine" He laughed. I think I should be a match maker. I mean come on, why not?

~Chanelle P.O.V.~

Riley and I spent the entire day working more and more on the wedding.

We found a church here in Oakland that was just perfect! It was in a cute little meadow, but still in town. We had a set date for December...just shy of a month away.

We were now cake tasting and let me tell you. Riley and I couldn't stop eating.

"Nelle, if you don't stop eating we might have to get you a bigger size dress" she laughed

"Okay, when we get home we're going jogging" I said as I took another bite of the cake sample

"Deal, I wanna try the vanilla bean, pass it over here" she laughed some more

"Open up" I fed her the piece of cake and she gave me a bite "I like that one" I said with my cheeks filled with cake

"Do that one-"

"Do you mind me asking, but are you two getting married or?" The guy asked us

"Oh nooo, I'm married, but we're each other's boo's so it's like we're in a relationship but we don't swing that way" Riley said as she fed me another bite. He had such a look of confusion as he walked away

"Alright, we'll do the vanilla bean" I said to the lady. She nodded her head and began to write stuff down on her note pad

"Woo! We got more shit done!" Riley said as she stood up "what will Lexis say when you tell him you went cake tasting without him?"

"He'll be upset, but I'll just take a shower with him and he'll be fine" As we get more stuff done and the days start counting down to the actual wedding day, I'm getting more and more nervous. I still can't believe it, like after almost 14 years we're finally tying the knot

"You two are just gross." She laughed a she hopped into my car

"Well it's true! I know you and Javier are gross too, y'all just ain't as open about it"

"Y'all don't need to know about Javier and I sex life, it's just Javier and I, not the entire gang" smart ass

"Yeah, yeah, yeah, you goin home for a bit?"

"Yes pleeeeeeease"

~Arley P.O.V.~

Being back in Oakland kind left me a little depressed. Just because of the whole Heather thing.

I was so used to seeing her texts or calls, even though they annoyed the absolute shit out of me, I still liked seeing them.

Today was one of those days where I woke on the good side of the bed and was feeling great about life.

I was eating cereal at the table when I heard a soft knock on the door.

"Come in! It's unlocked!" I yelled as i still kept my attention on my bowl of cereal

"Hey Dad" I heard Nicole as she walked in and gave me a kiss on my cheek

"And how are you doing?" I was still upset she ran away for the night but I let Varo handle her, I'm just exhausted with trying to constantly deal with her.

"I'm sorry for everything. Unlce Varo gave me a huge lecture that really changed my life aside from the other stuff he did to discipline me." She said as she sat on the counter.

What the fuck did Alvaro do?

"I hope you understand now. I know you're young and want to do things yourself but I'm trying to steer you away from mistakes that I've made that you don't need to experience yourself."

"I know, just wanted to say I'm sorry" She hopped off and wrapped herself around me

"It's alright" That moment was when it hit me. That right there was my family.
