Miles Between My Heart And My Reason For Living

I stand here without you but you're in my every thought and breath

In my dreams I can still feel you moving with me as we show our love to the other

There are miles tonight between my heart and my reason for living

I'm here without you but you're going to be fine without me I swear

For tonight hold that pillow close and tell yourself the hours will become seconds till I return

It's my sacrifice to walk away from everything

To return to what gave me the self belief and the skip to my step as I begin to smile

The ups and down we've faced are nothing when I tell you that we'll be fine

Above all the others that refuse to let themselves believe we shall fly

So turn off the light tonight and know that we stand together even with the miles apart

That's where we are now we're in this crazy world together

We can be like the comet and the darkness complimenting the other

The storm and the calm without the one and the other beauty would be lost

I take every step back to find where my heart will find it's rest

The sound of the drum within me getting stronger

It's your name that keeps pulling me forward

Miles between my heart and the my reason for living

Getting closer getting less

There I see you, lying still on the side I lay my head at night

My darling love I have come home

Feel me here never more leaving your side

Let the war explode around us because here right now is the moment I no longer shall care to live or die

I am where I belong with my reason for living and my heart is still beating
