Setting: Ramona is in a worshipping position in the middle of a huge spotlight. She is on her knees, bent forward with her arms stretched out, her face looking down. The rest of the room is very dark, but a few huge shadows are visible. As they speak, their voices reverberate around the room.

Shadow 1: Ramona Spencer, you have failed to complete a transaction.

Shadow 2: The results may have been disastrous.

Shadow 3: Do you deny this?

Ramona: I do not.

Shadow 4: Then a punishment shall be chosen.

Shadow 1: Unless she can present a witness saying that the soul was cleansed before it erupted, that is.

Shadow 2: Can you, Ramona?

Ramona: (She pauses a tiny second before answering) No.

Shadow 3: Then a punishment to fit the crime. You knew, when you took up the role as an Escort, that you would be performing a transaction that could be chaotic when failed. You knew how to do it, and never once did you fail before this. Some slip of the mind must have occurred.

Shadow 4: Your punishment will be an earlier B.O.W. and a longer wait for a chance at second life.

Ramona: (Voice shaking) I accept this punishment.

Shadow 1: Adjourned.

Setting: The scene fades around her into black, but a small, golden-colored halo outlines her from us, illuminating her. She straightens and begins walking. After about a minute, the Souls appear, floating around at just the height of her waist, tightly packed but evenly spaced. She walks through them until she finds one on the far side of the field, a small one who is feebly flickering, and she bends down toward it.

Ramona: Hello, little one.

Setting: It doesn't respond and Ramona continues.

Ramona: I am sorry for failing and causing you another wait.

Star: It's alright, you're forgiven.

Ramona: No, I am not. But thank you anyways.

Star: I tried, I'm sorry.

Ramona: It is fine.

Setting: And with that, she straightens and walks away into the darkness. She keeps watching, and we wait until we see a very, very thin, almost pink line of light. Ramona stops when she sees it.

Ramona: Mom... Dad...

Setting: There is no answer.

Ramona: Please talk to me. I need help. (Her voice breaks on the last word)

Setting: Still no answer.

Ramona: Well, fine then. I guess when you said you loved me, it only applied to the me who did everything you asked.

Setting: Still no answer. Ramona looks desperately around her and then sinks to her knees. Her voice is small and meek.

Ramona: Please?

Setting: Once again the air is silent, and then the scene fades to black.
