A voice laughed nearby, and I spun around in the darkness to see a wolfish like figure standing in the darkness. It was transparent, and magical power wafted off of the figure.

“What the heck are you?” I asked. The figure laughed.

“I am you” it replied. The wolfish figure lunged towards me. Its ghost-like form engulfed my own body. I couldn’t see, and I felt like I was sinking.

My eyes snapped open, and I coughed. I blinked as I stared up at the night sky. Stars shined brightly in the darkness of the sky. The wolfman I’d just seen... It was only a dream... Nearby I could hear a small campfire crackling with warmth. The dim glow casted shadows nearby.

“You awake?” Tyler asked.

“Yeah” I replied as I sat up. I looked around to see everyone odd looks as if I’d grown a second head. We were all sitting around the campfire.

“What’s up?” I asked. There was no reply. Erza had a shirt tied around her chest, and it was covered in blood. I noticed Tyler and Hunter had some scratches, but Brad had a nasty looking scratch on his side. I rubbed my head,

“D*mn did I get knocked out, and missed the battle?” I asked with a soft chuckle.

“You mean you don’t remember?” Brad asked. I stared at him blankly, and shook my head.

“Remember what?” I asked. No one said anything.

“What am I supposed to remember?” I asked again. Tyler shook his head,

“We were fighting Woody, and you and Erza were fighting the other guy. When we looked up at you guys Erza was injured, and you...” he paused. He frowned, his brown eyes seemed distant as if he couldn’t find the words.

“What happened to me? Spit it out I want to know” I said.

“I don’t think you’ll want to” Hunter muttered. Brad shot him a look to make him shut up.

“You were surrounded in a huge magic form. You look like something out of the plays when the guy turned into a wolf man” he said with a chuckle. His smile and chuckle disappeared quickly.

“What? No way that’s crazy” I protested.

“You really expect me to believe that?” I asked them. They didn’t reply except for Tyler.

“Sorry bro, it’s the truth” he said. I shook my head, ‘no way that’s the truth. it’s just another one of their games’ I thought. I clenched my fist tightly, and I opened my hand. I stared at my nails which were still in the form of long, thick, black claws. I looked back up at Brad’s wound. I then remembered the book I had left back in Estras in the beta cabin. I remembered the page with the woman, and the wolf men... The dream of the wolf-like ghost. ‘I am you’  it had said. I stood up,

“Then I-” I muttered. My eyes flickered between Brad, and Erza. I stared at my cabin mates blankly. I turned around, and started to walk away from them.

“Jeremy” I heard Brad call after me.

“Let him go, he just needs to blow off some steam” I heard Tyler say. Without realizing it was I running away pass the trees in the darkness. ‘I did that to them’ I thought as I fell to my knees. I raised a fist, and slammed it into the nearest tree. The impact created a crater in the bark, and the tree swayed unsteadily. I stared at the ground. ‘I guess you were right to be worried, huh Dale? Did you know I was this? Whatever I am?’ I thought. I stood up, and yelled loudly as I slammed my fist into the tree again. Magic power steamed off my fist as I repeatedly beat my fists senselessly into the tree until it began to fall. I was breathing hard, my fists at my side.
