We decided to stay makeshift cabin for the rest of the night. Brad was back to human form in a pair of jeans. I had also shifted back to human for to help bandage Erza's arm. My wounds healed noticeably fast, but even still I had to stay inside.

"It's dangerous out there, fighting bears and cougars is different than fighting people" Tyler reminded me. Brad groaned,

"Uh, shut up" he moaned. He was obviously trying to sleep. If he was a wolf Mage his hearing was most likely as good as mine.

"Ha, how do you think I feel when your snoring?" I pointed out. He sat up wearily, and rested his forehead on his hand.

"Jeez, I don't know how you stand beings me to hear every little thing" he complained.

"I have a freaking headache, my ears hurt" he complained.

"Life's rough bro" Hunter laughed. Brad pulled his knees to his bare chest, and covered his ears.

"Ugh, and that plant you have smells Tyler" he continued to complain. The plant still on his shoulder hissed. A low growl from Brad sent it fleeing to hide on Tyler's back. It hissed furiously at Brad. I rolled my eyes sarcastically. From where outside in the distance an animal cried out into the night. Something had been caught, and was dying. Another was feasting on its source of strength. The sound was eardrum shattering to even me who was whisked to loud noises. Brad's eyes were wide as he covered his ears.

"We'll it's settled, I'm never going to sleep" Brad whined hopelessly. Erza sighed, and took out her dagger. It cracked with her pink magic magical energy. Brad shielded his eyes, not accustomed to bright light either.

"What the-" he began to say when Erza shot him with the lightning straight to the head. Sparks crackled around his head. His eyelids dropped as he fell unconscious.

"Amen" Tyler laughed.

"Enough complaining" Hunter agreed.

"He's not a complainer, except for this one time" Erza reminder.

"Is your hearing really that good, Jeremy?" She asked me. I nodded my head,

"I'm used it where as Brad isn't" I stated.

"Meaning he's going to be pretty sour" Tyler added. He laid down,

"May as well get some sleep, it's been one long night" Hunter said. I lay my head back against the wooden was. I stared at the ceiling. 'I don't know how Brad is going to adjust. Wolf magic was so complex. It changes how we fight. Our sense of hearing, sense of balance, smells become distracting, and then the feral side of our minds' I. Thought.

"You should try to sleep" Erza said. I noticed she was still awake.

"And what about you?" I asked.

"I was going to keep watch" she suggested. I shook my head,

"I'll hear anything before it gets near" I reminded her. A faint smile spread across her face. She leaned against my side, resting her head on my shoulder. She yawned,

"How did you find me so quickly?" She asked.

"Eh-" I started to reply. I had found her by the scent of her perfume.

"Sense of smell, I could smell the cougars" I lied. She closed her eyes, and sighed. She was silent now asleep.

"Your...  Your a terrible liar" Erza muttered softly. She didn't say anything afterwards. I couldn't help but smile in amusement. She stayed awake just long enough to tell me I was still an awful liar. I closed my eyes, finally letting my over sensitive nerves relax, and sleep fell over me.
