Chatper 11-Captive

Marinette's POV
"BANG!" I heard a huge noise from my window. I carefully got out of the bed not wanting to awaken Chat, who slept over last night. I climbed up to the balcony to see want happened. I looked around a little, and I didn't see anything. "Hello, Marinette. Someone wants to see you." I turned around very scared, but before I could see anything the feminine figure knocked me out almost immediately.

"Chat, help me...." I whispered before I drifted off from consciousness.

I woke up with a throbbing head. The room was dark, and I was in what seemed like a caged in area. Many more parts of my body were sore for some odd reasons. A purple figure flew up to me. "Are you a kawmi?"

"Yes," it responded. "I am Hawkmoth's to be exact."

"Are you okay? Does he treat you well?" I asked worriedly. "You must feel lonely in this area by yourself."

"I am Nooroo. I am ok. You're right I never leave this place. I got used to it so I don't really feel lonely." I let him sit in my hands while I petted him lightly.

"Nooroo, I am assuming that I am in his lair. Why am I here?"

"Why are you talking to the prisoner, Nooroo? I specifically asked you not to," a stiff voice asked.

"Sorry, master won't happen again." I am going to talk to Nooroo again. I don't care what Hawkmoth says.

"What do you want with me Hawkmoth?! I don't even have a miraculous for you to take."

"That's true. I did see you help out Chat Noir and the new Ladybug yesterday. How did you know what to do? I am very intrigued." I inwardly cringed at the question.

"Do you know who I am then Hawkmoth?" I asked.

"Indeed I do. I don't need you interfering with my plans to take the miraculous. That rookie wouldn't last long." Even his shadow was frightening.

"Does that mean you know who Chat Noir is?"

"No, I don't unfortunately. If I had known he would be here with you."

"Chat will come to save me! He loves me. He won't rest till he saves me." I grabbed the bars and shook them violently.

"That's exactly my hope. Since you granted me with the information that he loves you, I brought you here to lure him in. I need his miraculous." He curled his hands into fists. "Then I will get Ladybug's."

"No! You can't do that!" I cried. "This was all a trap." I fell to the ground clutching my necklace. This isn't my necklace. This is my old one! It was glowing a royal purple. I tried to take it off, but all it did was burn my neck. It didn't snap at all. It was stuck there. "Where is my necklace?!" I yelled in tears. The burn on my neck was getting worse by the minute.

"I told your kidnapper to leave it on your balcony as a souvenir for Chat." He grinned evilly.

"You're a monster Hawkmoth! How could you?!" I cried and cried. Eventually I cried myself into a deep sleep, holding my neck.

Chat's POV
"Good morning, Mari." I went to squeeze her small figure but nothing was there! "Mari?! Where did you go? Her parents were down in the bakery so I could go downstairs. "MARI! Where did you go?" I checked every room but found nothing. I went up to her balcony hoping she was getting a breath of air. "Mari?!" I searched around. I found her necklace I gave her with a note attached to it.
Your princess has been taken. Good luck finding her.

No! Hawkmoth! He took Mari! How could he? He will pay! I needed to tell her parents. I made my way downstairs to her parents. They were crying, and I tried to comfort them. I promised them that I would bring her back to them. I left the bakery and went to my house. The moment I stepped into my room I cried. The love of my life and the only love I had received in years was gone. Stolen from me. Exactly like my mother. I need to find Hawkmoth's lair. I will defeat him if it is the last thing I do.
