Chapter 16-First Trial

"Do you two fit comfortably in there? I can make it bigger if you would like," I offered. It's the first day of school since vacation, and the first I have brought both of my kawmis to school. I took turns bring them. Every lunch break I ran to my house making sure the other wasn't lonely. Alya was upset that I left all the time now but I lied to her and told her that from now on I had to help my parents with the bakery. She hasn't stopped by to visit yet thankfully. Today, I decided that bringing both of them would be better for all of us. As a plus I can spend lunch with Alya.

"It's amazing in here, Marinette! I promise we will be fine. Right, Nooroo?" Clara said.

"Absolutely right!" Nooroo assumed me.

"Remember to be quiet when class begins." The both gave me a thumbs up and that was good enough for me. I ran off to school making sure I wouldn't be late by just walking. Being clumsy I tripped directly in Adrian causing him to fall over. "I am so so sorry. Adrian." I apologized. Before he could respond I got up and ran into school.

"You are such a brat! Get out of the way!" A familiar annoying voice yelled. She was bullying one of the 6th graders. I studied the girl memorizing any thing that an a akuma could enter. I couldn't protect her yet so was rendered helpless.

I felt an arm link with mine. "Hey girl! I have the most exciting news! There is a new superhero arising! People have taped the person. She is all white and is very fairy like but she has a mask. I think she has been training because Chat Noir has been spotted with her. I think they may be a thing. Since the old Ladybug is gone, he may have gone for her instead. Someone took a picture of them kissing I think. Oh ya right here!" She almost shoved her phone in my face. I tried hard not to blush. The picture was cute though.

"Can you send me that pic?" I asked. I heard a ding from my phone, and there it was. "Are you still going to run the Ladyblog?"

"Oh ya! This new Ladybug is still amazing. I might run one for this new girl, too! She is amazing!" Alya gushed. "I wonder what her name will be?" That's a good question. What should I call myself?

"Alya, I am going to go to the bathroom so I meet you in class, okay?" I was already running off when I heard her reply okay. I jumped into a stall and opened my purse.

"Clara, what have people like me call themselves in the past? I need a superhero name.

"Honestly all of them have called themselves different names. You get to decide!" She said twirling.

"Well I guess I will name myself partially after you! My superhero name with be Claire!" I almost jumped for joy but I hit the stall door. "Ouch. Don't worry I'm alright." I sneaked out of the bathroom and hurried to class. About midway through the school day a large crash was heard. The teacher told us to evacuate completely, and we all made a run from it immediately. "Alya! Come on! We have to leave."

"No way girl! I can't miss a chance to meet the fairy girl or get to know the new Ladybug." She stood firm determined to get her information.
I ran away looking for a place to hide. Chat Noir and Ladybug have already showed up in the scene ready to fight.

"Clara, can I choose that this time I transform that you can be in the miraculous because we still need those 7 other days." I asked pleading with my eyes.

"Unfortunately not. I'm sorry! But 6 days is enough. You are a very faster learner. Just say the word!" She floated in a fighting position.

"Wing up!" I transformed into my wardrobe, and I was more than ready to start fighting. "Clara, stay with Nooroo. If you need to hide, do so and come back to me when you know it is safe." I flew over to fighting area, and I received gasped from everyone around me including Chat. "I am Claire! Hi guys. Hope you don't mind me joining in." I winked at Chat.

"Of course not, how about you LB?" Chat said.

"We could use a hand." She whispered to me. "Are you who I think you are?"

"If you mean Marinette? Yes, it's me. We can all talk after the fight, okay?" I whispered back. She nodded. "Let's do this!" I yelled. I was studying the victim, and just as I predicted, it was the girl that Chloe was bullying. The only thing remaining on her that I remember from her civilian self was a pink butterfly hair clip. "Guys! The hair clip is where is the akuma is!" They  both have me a thumbs up, and we got to work. I was a lot better at using my magic now. It wasn't as draining as before, and I could last at least 5 hours. I could create barriers that lasted about 30 seconds. This akuma was very physically based. So my magic attacks were proved very powerful against it. Chat and Ladybug mostly distracted it while I shot at it.

"Miraculous ladybug!" LB yelled. Out of the sky fell a pole. She silently made a plan in her head and said,"Back her up into those double doors. We can lock her in with this pole. (Hey! Comments!ya I see you real good. I know I could have used Chat baton but let's just pretend that his batons split into two real easy, ok? Ok. Now that that is settled continue! 😂) Chat Noir will stay outside just incase something goes wrong. Claire and I will take care for the akuma."

"Your getting good at this!" I encouraged. We all backed up the victim into the double for and as soon, and she entered it LB and I rushed in and Chat closed the door behind us. I shot out my magic to stun her a few times and then focused to constrain her with strong steel like vines. Come on, Marinette! You can do this. Some plant like thing shot out of the ground and tightly wrapped around the akumatized citizen. "Go now!" I shouted. I was still focusing trying to hold the vines as long as possible. She was pushing against the vines, which gave me a good headache. Lady bug jumped over her and grabbed her hair clip. She smashed on the ground and the akuma was let free.

"Got ya!" The polka dotted heroine purified the akuma. "Chat, you can let us out now!" No response.

"I got this," I said winking. I held my hands out and made them into fists. I heard a yelp. I released my concentration, and the door popped open. Chat groaned while Ladybug and I giggled. "Sorry, silly kitty. You should obey first time asked." I put a finger under his chin and smirked. Meanwhile Ladybug threw her item into the air fixing all the damage that was done to the school. I gave Chat a small peck, and I heard a loud squeal. There was Alya standing right in front of us.

"Can I have a quick interview?" She begged. I nodded in response making her squeal again.
