Chapter 12-Convicted

Marinette's POV
"Ugh." My neck and and left hand were burning. The pain in my head wasn't helping me at all. Hawkmoth wasn't here so I needed to talk to Nooroo. "Nooroo," my voice was so much more hoarse than I thought it would be. "Please Nooroo. Help me. It burns so much." My eyes were soaked with tears. It all burned so much! "NOOROO!"

"Marinette!" Nooroo came up to me and touched me. Somehow the pain subsided, and I was all ok.

"Thank you so much!" I hugged the kawmi and sighed in relief.

"I couldn't let you suffer. I know how much you were hurting. The affects only last an hours or so. I am so sorry that I can't help you permanently." The kawmi snuggled my neck.

"It's ok. I know you can't do that. I'm the one who is sorry. You need to leave here before Hawkmoth comes back. I don't want to risk you getting hurt." I pushed the kawmi away gently. "Can you contact other kawmies? If you can tell Chat Noir that I am living, and that I am in Hawkmoth's lair ok?"

"Of course, Marinette. I'm sorry but I can't tell him where the lair is because I have never been outside of here."

"I understand."

Adrian's POV
"Adrian! I got a message from Hawkmoth's kawmi!" Plagg said.

"What?! Where is she?!" I yelled. I was too impatient! I needed Marinette.

"She is in Hawkmoth's lair. Nooroo, his kawmi, says that she is alive but hurting." Plagg said happily.

"Where is his lair?"

"No one knows sorry. Not even Nooroo! He has never been out of the place. Poor kawmi." Plagg looked so sad. He must have a close relationship with Nooroo.

"Ugh! That stupid lair! Stupid Hawkmoth for that matter. I need to find that lair."

Marinette's POV
It was an hour later and sure enough the burns came back. It was a bit more bearable but it still hurt my skin badly. How can a necklace even do this to me. I can't even break it because I am no longer Ladybug. I had to cry again it hurt too much. Deep, dark thoughts over took me. Why isn't Chat here yet? I thought he loved me. We made a promise. Why am I not Ladybug anymore? I knew I wasn't good enough for them. I want Tikki. I need the miraculous.

"Hello, Shatter! Get me the miraculous, and we can rule the world together. Do you accept?"

"Yes, Hawkmoth." I said evilly. I was consumed in purple, and I got a suit. It was a red dress with black polka dots, and a black underskirt. I had wings on my back. My mask was the same as my Ladybug mask. My hair was down and curled very loosely. "Find Chat, get his miraculous. Get my miraculous." Hawkmoth let me put through the window, and I flew out. This was going to be fun.
"Chat Noir?! Come out!!! Here kitty, kitty." After twenty minutes of calling, Chat finally showed up.

"M' lady?!" He said worriedly.

"Why didn't you save me, Kitty? I thought you loved me." I said sadly. "I need your miraculous. Give me your miraculous!" I screamed.

"I can't give you my miraculous. I do love you. I couldn't find his lair, princess. I'm sorry." He tried to touch my face.

I caught his hand and said,"Prove it to me then. Give me your miraculous."

"I promised you I wouldn't do that. What happened to you, Mari?"

"My name is Shatter now. You let me suffer. I was sitting in a cage. I couldn't get out! My skin was burning because of this necklace! You didn't save me!" I said desperately.
