Oh how I wish pen to paper were easy
Ink flowing from the tip in graceful curves
Marking paper in glossy artwork
A fine tattoo of sorts.
Oh how I wish dreams were as easy to build
Writing with our mind's ink in the bright canvas of the sky
Blotting mistakes with the palm of our hand
And painting the hues of a wonderful story.
Oh how I wish people were as easy to mend
Like an eraser left to erase
The connotations of people's words
To the richness of moisture in warm tones.
Oh how I wish it were as easy to build
a paper plane
That'd take all the deeds to Heaven
And stock it with joy.
Oh how I wish I were a child again
Unbeknownst to misery and misfortune
Living like a free connoisseur
Of hopes and dreams and forgotten memories
Reliving each in the glory of my mind
And holding dear until the end of time.
