Don't Let Me Go [1D AU Fanfiction]

Chapter 4: First Impressions

Niall POV:

"It's only been four months but,

You've fallen down so far,

How could someone mislead you at all?" I sung into my microphone, which was hooked up to my computer. I passed my mic to Louis and he began singing his verse.

"I wanna reach out for ya,

I wanna break these walls,

I speak a different language but I still hear you call." Louis sang perfectly. I looked at him and smiled, as he was finishing his solo. I wondered why i couldn't sing as well at him. Hearing him sing and seeing him happy was enough for me, he is one of my best mates after all. I sighed and looked out the window. I wonder if I'll ever be successful with my music, like Louis surely will be. I got lost in a shore of thoughts, until they were interrupted by Louis as he turned to me and put his hand on my shoulder.

"You okay Nialler?" He spoke sounding concerned. Crap, I was dosing off.

"Oh course I am Louis!" I said, faking a smile. "I was just wondering-" Our conversation was interrupted by Louis cell phone buzzing.

"'Ello?" He spoke casually.

After a few minutes, he put his phone down on the table, and threw on his jacket on. He gave me my jacket as well.

"Where are we going?" I asked.

"We're heading to Harry's," He walked to his bedroom door, and turned to me. "It's major." He said as he walked out.

Harry POV:

I'm grateful my mom gave me back my phone after she heard dad was out of jail. He only meant trouble. He had left us three years ago, just out of the blue. He had some 'problems', and blamed Gemma, Marcel, and me for literally every little thing. Even after these years, I kept thinking about old memories with him, I shuttered back at old them.

"Harry!" My father screamed at me from outside my bedroom door. "OPEN THIS DOOR!"

I walked over to my door, shaking. What had I done? I had been on his good side for a couple of days now, I thought he was starting to actually like me. As soon as I opened the door, I smelt it on his breath: alcohol. I gulped. He grabbed me by my sleeve and dragged me down the stairs.

"D-Dad please!" I pleaded.

"Shut it! I am no father of yours!" SMACK! Tears started flowing out of my eyes, as my cheek started burning from the forceful slap to my face from my so-called 'Father'. As he pushed me on the ground, I heard my older sister run down the stairs and scream at my father.

"STOP IT!" I don't know how she managed it, but she pulled him away from me, grabbed me and kept telling me 'Not to look', as we locked her bedroom door as Gemma, Marcel, and me waited for my mom to come home.

That was over two years ago, when I was only 14. I'm 16 now, and it scares me more that now he's out of jail, and coming back to find us. Marcel said he had gotten a threatening call from dad on the way home from school. How did he even get Marcel's phone number? I sighed and picked up my phone and turned it on to see if I had missed any calls or texts. I scrolled to my missed calls, only to see I had 5 missed calls from Lily.

Shit. I went to call her, and I already started getting nervous. She probably thinks I was some selfish jerk, who toyed with her feelings just for fun. I was about to hit the call button, but then i stopped.

With getting nervous around her, the stuttering, and blushing, could i like her more then just a friend? No, that can't be it... Well maybe it is. No, stop it Harry! You can't do that again. Don't give your heart up again.

Not to anyone.

Lily's POV:

I was walking near the Woodlen Park, listening to my music. It was the only thing that really took me away from all the drama and troubles, and everything mostly in my life; Just for a moment. It made me feel i don't know... away from everything? I got to a bench and sat down, and took out my song book from my messenger bag and started singing.

"Don't walk away,

Don't leave me here,

Do you think that I won't remember?

Just breathe it out,

Just say it loud,

Because you think I'm a child, and you always dought,

You think I don't understand what life's about.

But I know,

I know what I'm doing.

I know what I'm meant for,

And just being cruel,

You showed it to me,

Who I'm able to be."

I started jotting down more lyrics until I heard someone yelling across the street.

"Hurry up mate!" I looked up to see Louis yelling at Niall as they ran down the hill, near where I was sitting.

"Hey!" I yelled and the turned to me, panting because they were out of breath. I walked over to them and they greeted me. "Hi Niall, Hi Louis." I said nicely to them.

"Oh, hey Lily." Niall smiled at me. After we all had a little chat, Niall spoke up. "We're kind of in a hurry to get somewhere, it's important. I mean REALLY important." He looked at me, sorrow in his eyes.

"No it's alright." I told them. Wait a minute, weren't they like Harry's best friends? They started walking away but I then said to them, "If you see Harry, tell him I said hi." I was also going to tell them to tell Harry I had been calling him if he hadn't noticed because his phone seemed to be off every time, but I decided not to say that: It would've been so embarrassing, and would probably sound like I was obsessed. Not that I am or anything!

Louis turned and smiled to me before they ran off. "Will do."

Every time I think about Harry, my heart flutters. What is this? I never felt it with Jeremy, do I actually 'Like like' him? No! It's too soon.

Okay, before you say anything I'M SORRY ABOUT HARRY'S FAMILY BACK STORY. I just wanted to make this story have some interesting stuff in before all of the drama, romances, all that stuff start rolling in.

By the way I tried writing that song Lily was singing to be good, but I'm a sloppy writer right now, (a servere case of writer's block).

There will be some Meilina POV coming in, as well as putting Liam and Zayn in it. Should they be jerky bad boys, or nice guys?
