Book: Breakaway, Harry Potter Series
Chapter 2: Hogwarts Express
Word Count: 3607Jackson pushed his trolley, containing all of his stuff in front of him. As always, the train station was packed and himself and his parents were pushing through everyone, trying to get to the elusive 9 3/4 platform before the train left the station. His mum had a hand on his back, guiding him through the thick amounts of people.
They were getting closer and closer and Jackson's chest was getting tighter and tighter, fighting off the urge to turn around and run. To run back to the car and get his parents to drive him back to his home. He tried to shake the thoughts out of his head. Tried to make himself excited for what was to come but it just wasn't working.
"Molly?!" Jackson looked up as his mothers excited voice filled the air. He looked over to where his mum and dad were and caught sight of a familiar red haired family. The Weasley family. Consisting of Molly and Arthur, the parents and they had a fair amount of kids. Jackson really only knew Ron, Fred and George, the last two being a hilarious pair of twins that could always make him laugh.
The family got closer to each other and Molly and Katherine immediately went into a hug as Arthur and Neal shook hands. "Hey guys." Jackson greeted the twins and Ron.
"Hello Jackson." George Weasley said, grinning down at the dark haired boy.
"Are you excited for you're first year at Hogwarts?" Fred asked and before Jackson could answer George cut in.
"It's so fun. Except for classes they are so hard."
"Not to mention the teachers." Fred cut in this time. Jackson was used to the boys taking each others sentences by now. "They're all blimey mad."
Jackson's face dropped as he took in the twins words and he looked over at Ron, both of them sharing a nervous expression. Katherine came over and wrapped an arm around her sons shoulder. "Stop trying to scare my innocent child."
George and Fred laughed and smirked, "of course, Mrs Samson." They said in sync.
"Who's ready to go." Arthur Weasley said, clapping his hands together and rubbing them, looking excited.
Jackson went back behind his cart and started to push it next to Ron's. "I'm not."
Ron looked over at him and grinned. "Come on, Jacks. It's not going to be that bad. Maybe even the best year of your life." He tried to cheer him up. Jackson had told him all about how he didn't want to go and Ron tried to comfort him in the best way he could but it seemed he couldn't change his mind.
