Asher's P.O.V.

I watched her from the gigantic tree right outside her window, the sound of her soft singing flowing to my ears. She was cleaning her room, delicately placing things in their correct places. She moved slowly, taking her time as she sang and twirled around. Everything about her made my halfway dead heart beat rapidly.

You see, I'm a Vampire, and Vampires are born only half way Vampires. When we find our mate, we drink the blood from they're wrists, changing us into full Vampires. If said mate was a human, then we turn them, but only willingly. But, if we are rejected, we cannot turn into full Vampires, making us live and grow every day as if we were humans.

Half or full, we all live off blood. And some Vampires are more special than others. Those ones, like me, have special abilities. Take me for instance, I can read the thoughts and feelings of those around me, and even see through they're eyes. My mother is another special case. She's what we call a tracker, she can sniff out anyone for miles, making that target her main priority, until the target is down. My father was just a normal Vampire, and also mated with mated with my mother, even though she was different, which in the future created me.

To turn a human into a Vampire, you have to almost completely drain them, before they drink your blood back to life. After every Vampire that is made, they sleep or pass out for a while, giving they're Maker enough time to take them to a secluded area to finish the transition.

I found my mate the second she moved here, and I'm going to make her fall for me by this dance that's coming up. Even with humans, they feel the bond between they're mate. Thoughts and feelings start to develop. I only hope she doesn't run away and never looks back when I tell her about who I am...

...about what I am.

My thoughts were I turreted by a mans voice coming from another part of the house, the direction was from downstairs.

"Annie! It's time to eat, then you need-" the voice was cut off by the girl herself.

"To go to sleep because of school tomorrow, yes I know this. Thanks for the reminder, Mother!"

"Don't get sassy with my, Missy! I can take away-"

"Actually you can't take anything. Mom and Dad would kill you, because I'm their only daughter and I could go crying to Mommy and Daddy about how their eldest son was mistreating their youngest child."

"Shit." He cursed. I chuckle quietly while Anne smiles wide, practically skipping to her slightly cracked door. But before she walks through, she turns suddenly, looking around her brightly lit room. She slowly walks towards the window, looking out to where I am. I hide behind it more, but was still able to see her, but also couldn't tell what was bothering her. I closed my eyes to concentrate better, before slipping into her mind.

I think I'm going crazy.

Why do I keep feeling like someones always watching me?!

I'm getting paranoid!

This can't be happening again!

Someone...help me...

The last one was a whisper of a thought, but spoke levels of alarm to me. Why would she be feeling these dark things, and thinking these dark thoughts? To figure it out, I dig deeper into her mind, trying to get a sense of what was wrong with my Baby, trying to help.
