<----- Asher Daniels.

-One months later-

It was getting colder. School started in August and it was already the end of September. These past few weeks have been very hectic with school and the cold setting in, but through every minute of it, Asher has been there to witness it. He normally doesn't say a lot about any of it, and I'm grateful for it, because that would be one less person to tell how my day went. A few weeks ago, when me and all four of my brother had our little break down, I hadn't really talked to them since that night. I don't talk to them unless they talk to me first, or if my parents tell me to ask them something.

So, for one whole month, I haven't talked to anyone besides Asher. I was to scared of what Josh and Alice might think of me, since I blurted all that information out that day I skipped half of school. Asher has kept on bugging me about the dance, which they had to postpone again, because the cafeteria was being remodeled. It was this weekend, on Saturday. It was currently Wednesday, and he was telling me about how I only have three days to decide, and I should jus tell him yes.

"Come on, Annabel, it's only a dance, it won't be that bad." He whined.

"Exactly, it's only a dance, so why should I go?"

"Why shouldn't you?"

"Touché."

"Okay, time to be serious." He said with a strait face. I look at him with a smile, nodding for him to go on. "If you were to go, what would you wear?"

"A bra."

"And?"

"Panties."

"And?"

"They'd most likely be matching-"

"Really?" He asks after a few seconds, his voice husky and his eyes a darker shade of green. Smirking, I lean up and whisper something in his ear.

"I'll make sure they're red."

I kiss his cheek before walking away, smiling at my new found confidence and the look on his face was priceless. As I reached the corner, I heard him yell from down the hall, making every head in the room turn towards me.

"Hey, Annabel! Is that a yes to the dance?!"

"As long as your favorite color is still red!" I yell, not even looking back as I rounded the corner. As I walked, a few people looked at me with either disgusted or a smile, neither bothering me as I stepped into my second period science class. Taking a seat in the back, I took my drawing pad out and began to sketch different things from outside the window. As I finished a few clouds around the sky, the bell rang signaling class was about to start, so I put it away and looked at the board to see we had a substitute teacher.

He had dirty blonde hair styled into a quiff, his muscles were bulging out of his long sleeved dress shirt, and he had a big belt buckle in the middle of his belt with a wolf on it. He looked like he wasn't much older then us, maybe twenty three. He had a smile on his face as everyone started to get quiet, his smile growing as everyone looked at him as if they'd never seen a male teacher. His voice wasn't deep or high as he began to explain why he was here. "I know this is very early into the year to be havering a substitute teacher, but your teacher Mr. Allen won't be able to teach for the remainder of the year. He was in a terrible car accident, and won't be able to properly move for a while. My name's Alaric, but you can just call me Rick. I'm your new science teacher."

A few of the girls giggled, and a few guys cursed, like their girlfriends would fall for the teacher or something. The only person not showing any emotion-besides myself-was Ash. He sat in the back, a seat between us, his eyes looking around the room as if he was bored, before they landed on me. He smirked when he realized I was staring, his eyes glinting with mischief. Taking out a pencil and some paper, he writes something down on it before folding it up in a neat little square.
