The real LadyBug (LadyNoir)

Marinette POV

I open the door to see my older cousin Bridgette lying in her hospital bed. She turns her head to look at me as I enter. "Mari" she coughs raising herself against the pillows.

"Brig, are you okay" I say hurrying up to her. "Mari, I'm fine, but I need you to look after something for me" Bridgette said reaching under her pillow to pull out a small box. I slowly take the box out of her hands and open it to reveal a pair of red earring with blacks spots.

"Put them on" Bridgette coughs gesturing to the earrings. I slowly put them on, before a little ball of light came out of them and turned into a small creature. "Bridgette what happen to you?" The creature ask seeing Bridgette in bed. "Tikki, I'm all right. I want you to me Marinette, she'll be looking after you now" Bridgette said the creature who was called Tikki.

Tikki turn to look at me. "Hello Marinette. I'm Tikki, LadyBug's kwami" Tikki said smiling. "LadyBug?" I questioned looking at Bridgette. "Tikki will explain it all to you later" Bridgette coughed. "I will take good care of her Brig, I promise" I said taking Tikki in my hands and placing her in my purse before giving Bridgette a hug. "I'm sure you will" she said smiling.

Two years later

"Marinette time to get ready for school" Tikki said in my ear. I get up and look at the date on my phone. June 13 the day I hate. Why? Because this is the day Bridgette past away leaving me with Tikki. "Don't worry Marinette. Today will be okay." Tikki said seeing my sad face. "I hope so Tikki" I said looking up at her giving a small sad smile.

Skip school as I have no idea what to write

"Girl what's wrong with you today?" Alya asked as we walk out of school. "I mean you didn't even stutter when you were pair up with Adrien in class" Alya added in confusion. "I'm sorry Alya, I'm having a bad day" I said looking down at the ground. "I can tell. But check this out, I found a picture of LadyBug a few years ago" Alya said showing me a picture of a girl with longer hair that me but in the same suit. I feel my eyes begin to water, but I quickly wipe them away so Alya doesn't notice. "I mean, this one looks older than the one we have now" Alya continues. "That's cool Alya, but I got go help my parents. I'll see you tomorrow" I said before hurrying across the street into the bakery

Alya POV

I watch as Marinette runs across the street and into the bakery. I turn to see Nino and Adrien chatting and walk over to join them. "Hey Alya. Do you know what was wrong with Marinette today?" Nino asks as I join them. "I don't know she wouldn't tell me" I said shaking my head. "Well let's hope she feels better tomorrow. She definitely wasn't herself" Adrien said. I stare at Adrien when he said that. "Your right lets hope so"

Marinette POV

I transform and head out to patrol the city later that day with a photo clutched in my hand. I arrive at the meeting spot in where I was to meet Chat. I sat down on the edge of the building and look down at the photo of Bridgette when she was LadyBug. I feel the tear slip down my face. "I wish you were still here Bridgette" I chock look down at the picture.

"Good evening M'lady" a voice said from behind. "Hello Chat" I said in a dull tone. "M'lady what's wrong?" Chat asked siting down next to me. " I'm fine Chat. Let's just get this over and done with" I said get up but was stopped by Chat putting a hand on my shoulder bringing me down. " We're not going anywhere until you tell me what's going on. I'm your partner, you can trust me." Chat said. "Fine" I said sitting back down. I pick up the fallen photo of Bridgette and show it to Chat. "It's been two years since my cousin, the previous LadyBug past away" I tell him trying to hold back the tears. I feel Chat move closer and pulls me into a hug. I don't resist, but hug back leting my tears flow. "I'm sorry, I didn't know" Chat said. "It's okay. If she was still here, she would be the real Ladybug and not me" I said pulling away to look out into Paris. "Don't say that. Even if she was the LadyBug before you, doesn't mean that your not the real one." Chat said putting his arm around me. "What do you mean" I ask looking up at Chat. "I heard that there have been many LadyBug's and Chat Noir's before us." Chat said "so we weren't the first" I ask. "That I'm aware of" Chat said get up. "But I guess we should get on with patrol" Chat said helping me to my feet. "Okay. And thanks Chat, I really needed that" I said indicating to the photo. "Your welcome M'lady. Race you to the Eiffel Tower" Chat said pulling his baton from his back. "Your on kitty" I said pulling my yoyo from my waist jumping of the building, Chat following.
