     Asshole.

I should've stayed. If I did I wouldn't be sitting here dealing with my futile drunken brother. I didn't reply the guy beside me after his peeving comment about my fight with our father earlier.

It was always about the same crap. How thoroughly I could fuck up everything in just one mess.  My father didn't have a single trust in me and I didn't give a damn. I guess we just wanted to make each other angry.

I rocked my glass of cold water in circles; the ice clinking together was muted by the loud techno sound of the club. I gulped the remaining white liquid and placed the glass with a thud on the bar's counter. I looked out the window at my side and saw some white fluffy snow helplessly falling down to meet the ground just to melt.

"Yo don wann dwink?" Byo asked me in slur. The guy would be out if he take another swig - I'd put my money on that.

I shook my head. I should call Umi and let her know what was happening to this bastard. But if I did, I'd be dealing with a bad tempered Byo in the morning then.

"Yo sawch a wimp." Some of his unruly light brown hair fanned down his heavy eyes.

Taking my phone out of my pocket, I looked for Umi in my contacts and made the call.

"Ruki?" The high pitched voice asked in surprise.

"Byo is drunk, get him out of here." I hang up and waved my empty glass to the bartender who gave me another bottle of cold water. I twisted the cap of the sweating plastic and took a swig right from the bottle.

This was just like the same old boring nights for all of us. Trying to breathe when we didn't even need oxygen in our system. Trying to stop ourselves from being stronger and faster. Trying to act like humans around them when all we wanted to do was to struck our fangs in their flesh and lose ourselves in ecstasy. But we were good at this. We'd done this for a lot of decades.

"What the hell, Byo?!" I looked over my shoulder. Umi had her long black curls down that reached her waist. She was wearing a black little dress that ends above her knees. Her steps hurried as she walked over.

"Umi..." Byo sang her name drunkenly. I shook my head and take another gulp.

She reached us, glaring at her lover. "LET'S GO!"

Byo was currently an ass. He had to hold onto me for support when Umi grabbed his arm to pull him out of the bar's stool. He groaned and murmured, promising that he'll plan his revenge once he was sober. I knew the revenge was for me.

Umi held Byo by the waist and pulled his other arm over her shoulders. His head was hanging down and his knees were weak. She tilted her head to look at me. "You're not coming?"

     "I'll stay for a while."

She nodded and they walked out, leaving numbers of pervert man staring at her back on her wake. I held the bottle, almost crushing it as I control myself from ripping every douche bag's eyes in this messed up place.

A strong citrus, flowery scent struck me but it wasn't what made my lips pursed. It was the smell of blood that was closing in. Moving in the prey zone I invisibly marked around me. I instantly closed my eyes and stopped breathing. The thirst was still a hum, I could fight it off. I knew. I was a professional.

Someone sat down the chair Byo evacuated. I opened my eyes, staring down the bottle. It was a girl. She crossed her leg over the other and leaned closer to me.

She was putting her own life in danger, giving into my effortless temptation. I knew it was my look, my scent and my very existence that invited her. That's why it was easy to find a drink, to find a prey, to find the ecstasy because the humans carelessly gave in to our wordless invitation.
