I was never a fan of parties.

That's why whenever my father asked me to attend one we'd end up shouting at each other - Me, telling how I hate everything about it and him threatening me about the Royalty.

That's what happened earlier this morning.

He was asking me to go to this auction sponsored by his company. There was no doubt that there'll be a lot of humans lurking in that party so I told him I wouldn't come and so the threaten fucking begun.

Now I was sitting here having no choice but to have my hair done.

"I know what style to do Ruki! This is soo last century." Kaolu said, moving my hair to different direction.

I had enough fights for today so I just nodded at him. "Do whatever you want."

He clapped his hand while he grinned down at me. "Everyone in that party won't be able to take their eyes off of you!"

Kaolu started working on my hair then as I drifted to sleep.

"You really look so good!" Kaolu praised, smiling brightly at his work.

Two hours after, my hair was now colored in light golden brown, with each strands styled meticulously. I was sporting a black shirt below a designer's red silk suit and a branded black leather shoes. As I stand in front of the mirror, I put the necklace Kaolu said would be paired best on my outfit. It was a heavy white gold lace with a thick medieval cross pendant.

I didn't like my hair at all. But there was no time in redoing.

"Come here tomorrow and dye it again."

He shook his head at me as he locked my right sleeve's cufflinks. "That style looks very perfect on you. And it's been a while since you dye it brown. I'm seriously done with you, being blond."

I laughed at what he said. I gazed back at my reflection on the mirror and thought of Aya.

Would she like this? Me, being a brunette?

Maybe I should visit her tonight...

Yet what happened the other night still lingered in my mind.

"HURRY UP PRINCE CHARMING!!" Byo knocked on my door twice.

I looked at my reflection one last time. My façade was looking good. The beast inside me was rotting.

They held the auction at the Clam Garden Hotel, one of the prestigious hotels in Japan. The structure of the building looked exactly like an opened white colored clam. The entrance was a clear floor to ceiling glassed wall. The place was shouting elegance and opulence.

Our black limousine stopped exactly a few feet from the opaque double glass door entrance. When the car's door was opened, I hopped out and righted my suit immediately.

Byo jumped out next in his black designer's tuxedo. Carmela took my offered hand as she clamber out of the car. She was wearing a very nice white gown with black little gems design around her waist down to the hem. As she set foot on the carpeted ground, flashes from different cameras started to flicker on us.

We walked inside the building and spotted almost immediately some of our kinds. They had their facades locked securely around the crowd of humans.

"Ruki! Byo! Carmela!" I turned around and saw Hagari making his way over.

Pursing my lips, I tucked both of my hands in my pockets.

"You haven't changed a bit!" The jerk hugged and whirled Carmela around before saluting at Byo and nodding his head at me.
