Why couldn't things be easier? Why did I have to suffer like this? No, why was I letting myself to suffer like this? It was me who didn't kill her. She was too near and we were alone last night and yet, I walked away.
Damn it!
Now I was once again in this shit place filled with scents of warm bloods. The only good thing about this morning was the ducks didn't dash towards me when I entered the room. They were busy mauling a guy at the other row.
One girl at the front looked back at me and I answered her a glare, she sank down her seat and looked away after that. The reaction I was aiming for.
Hamasaki Aya was quiet on her seat when I sat down on mine. I didn't glance at her or said anything, I acted like she was not there but she didn't let me.
She cleared her throat and both of her hands moved towards my table, she settled a rectangular glossy black box on my desk. When her sleeve brushed up, I caught a glimpse of her upturned wrist where her pulse might be beating. I averted my gaze quickly and stared at the flower design of the box.
What the hell is this?
"Uhm.. It's a strawberry cake. I made it. It's... for -"
"I hate strawberry." I cut her. I hate strawberry? Fuck that, I hate every human food. And why was I talking to her? I should ignore the girl.
"Oh..." I could here the disappointment on her tone and I fisted my hands.
"Lookie, here." One of the blonde ducks sang song, walking in front of my table. She raised one of her brow at the sight of the box and smirked at the girl. "What is this Hamasaki? Are you confessing to Ruki?"
"Uh... Nn..No! I.. I just..."
I sighed and glared at the blonde duck number one. "Move."
She looked down at me, surprised. "What?"
"I said move, you're blocking the board."
The blonde blinked and turned around to see the clear white board, she then looked back down at me. Moving, she leaned her face closer to mine.
"Why, Ruki... Don't I look more interesting?" She bathed her lashes at me and flirty smiled.
I snorted and leaned back to my chair. The smell of her blood was too suffocating.
"That's why I'm asking you to move. I'd rather stare at the white board than you."
Infuriation crossed the duck's face, she huffed - Glaring at me before she stalked away.
I looked back at the box on my desk. Strawberry cake huh.
"Please take it." The girl beside me said very quietly.
I grabbed the box and put it down on her desk a little too forceful. "I don't want it."
Our teacher walked in then, I tried to ignore the guilt I felt when I saw Hamasaki Aya's sad face. She should stop doing things like this. She should stop approaching and going closer because the only thing that I'd be showing her will be the asshole side of mine.
"You should try this." Byo dropped a weird looking food on my plate. I groaned and pushed the plate away from me.
"Stop!"
Umi smiled at her boyfriend and looked back at me. "It's delicious."
"Since when did human food become delicious?" I grabbed my bottle of water and chugged down a few gulps.
