   I was trapped.

By a human, I was caged by her being.

My beast was there, all red eyes and salivating - waiting for my mask to melt.

As I stared at the brown irises looking down at me, I felt a strange emotion passing.

It was a tiny smoke, a faint touch but I felt it.

My impatient monster tore almost half of my mask and sniffed the scent it was dying to feast on.

I glared at those eyes while I grab both of the girl's arms and pushed her off me. She groaned and I almost turn to see what caused it but I stood up straight and walked away without looking back.

I was being a jerk to her but it was far more better than for her to deal with my monster.

I drank a bystander somewhere on my way home. But the beast was still dreaming to taste the girl. After devouring two more hopeless humans, I went back to my father's house and went straight to my room.

I washed the blood all over my body and let the cold water shower down on me.

I should do something. I couldn't stay like this. I should get away. I should leave.

When I was clean and presentable, I searched for my father. I found him at the living room, nursing a cup.

"I need to leave." I told him when I stopped a good few feet away.

"You said one semester." He didn't look up from the newspaper he was staring.

I fisted my hands on either side of me. "I can't stay in this place any longer."

My father flickered his eyes at me but went back to the paper.  "Did something happen again?"

A lot of shit was happening, but I couldn't tell him. Not if it involved a human girl.

"No, I just want to leave that's all."

The brunette in white tuxedo exhaled before he put the cup on its paired saucer. "We talked about this."

"Why do you want me here?! I have no interest in any of this so it would be best if I get out of your way!" I tried to not yell but I failed. I didn't care.

His eyes sleeted at my direction before he hissed. "You're not going anywhere."

"Then tell me what you need me here for!" I said through my clenched teeth, planting my feet on the floor.

Did he know about the girl? Did he know about the effect she had on me? That I was suffering every time she's near? Was this his plan?

Having the thought of him making the girl as his toy for his crap of ridiculousness, poured madness in me. I stayed still at my place.

"I am your father, you are my son. It's normal for us to be under one roof."

"Normality is long forgotten in our kind!"

He shot daggers at me with his eyes. "One semester, Ruki."

   "One damn reason, Father."

He sighed and leaned back his chair, stapling his fingers together on his stomach then he looked away. "Someone informed me that a group of hunters are around America and Europe. It's better if you stay here under my protection for a while."

Under his protection? Was he kidding me? "I don't need protection. I can take care of myself."

Hunters. They were humans who knew about our existence and were too stupid to even think they could beat us. Not because they captured a few of our kind meant that they could end us all.
