After a long silence, he heard her voice, it was a mumble, but she was safe. He sighed with relief.  What would he have told Grillby if he had come home to find Frisk missing? "Where are ya kiddo?" he yelled. He heard her door open before her quiet reply came.

"I'm in my room working, Sans, do you need something?" She sounded impatient.

"Uhh... no just wondering where you were." He teleported to her door, and smiled, receiving only a startled gasp.

"I... thought you said you didn't need anything?" She muttered, her eyes on the floor.

"First things first, chin up kid." He said, using his hand to move her gaze to his face. "Secondly,  I do need to talk to you, come by my room when you're done...working?" She nodded and shut the door. He heard the faint sound of keyboard keys as he lazily walked toward his room.

While he waited, he decided to review his notes on the timelines. He grabbed one of the papers in his mini tornadoes and began to read it, his eyes scanning the page for any useful information. Anything that could hint at when Chara would appear in their current timeline would help him prepare. He had watched Frisk die before, in the last timeline. It had been almost unbearable. He knew a reset was coming though, what else could the kid do? Ever since then he's been trying to figure out what to do differently, how to prevent it from happening again, if there was a way to prevent it. Sans sighed, and rubbed a hand across his face. He was tired. A small nap couldn't hurt, right? He laid down and drifted off, the notes from the timeline still tucked in his hand.

Frisk finished what she had been typing, it was a message to Alphys, seeing if there had been any weird readings on the device they'd designed to watch for Chara. She sighed loudly and sent the message, hoping that her feelings were misguided and came from her anxiety. She pulled herself together and walked over to Sans's room, knocking quietly on his door. When there was no response, she decided he was in the back room and couldn't hear her. She turned the knob and opened the door, closing it quietly behind her before turning to find Sans passed out on his bed. She immediately felt as if she was invading his privacy, but Sans had also told her to come in. She sighed and sat beside him, an evident blush on her cheeks.

"Sans?" she said quietly, placing a hand on the skeleton's shoulder. "Come on wake u-!" she stopped mid sentence as Sans pulled her into a cuddle. "Sans..." She sighed, blushing immensely. "SANS GET UP!"

"Huh!? Oh... sorry kiddo..." he sat up and scooted away from her, his cheeks a bright blue.

"I-it's okay... you wanted to talk about something, right?"

"Yeah.... but um... it can wait til tomorrow. Sorry kid, I'm bone-tired." He chuckled. "I'm gonna hit the hay."

"O-okay.." Frisk got up and walked away, her cheeks stained red. She walked quickly into her room and shut the door. She let out a long sigh. What was wrong with her? Why was she so worked up about what had happened? She groaned and sat on her bed, shoving her face into her pillow. She got up and looked at herself in the mirror, her cheeks were still a bright red. A look of realization passed on her face before she heard a loud knock on the door.

"Who is it?" She asked nervously.

"I'TS PAPYRUS! I CAME TO TELL YOU DINNER IS READY...IS EVERYTHING ALRIGHT, HUMAN?"

"Uhh...yeah, everything is fine. I'll be down for dinner in just a minute..."

"ALRIGHT..."

She made sure Pap was gone before she pulled herself together. After a few minutes she sighed and opened the door, the main area of the house reeked of spaghetti. She giggled and walked down the stairs and into the kitchen. Her eyes met with Sans's for just a split second before she turned toward Pap. He looked as if nothing had happened. Papyrus smiled at her before turning and handing her a plate of spaghetti. She took it with a smile and headed for the recliner. She wanted some space. Frisk shoved a forkful into her mouth, Papyrus had gotten much better at cooking since she had first met him. She smiled, recalling the fond memories of the earliest puzzles of his that she had encountered. She laughed, looking up to find Sans sitting on the couch. She immediately stopped laughing and looked down at her plate, her face turning red all over again. She had noticed the hint of blue tainting his skull.

He sighed, "Listen kid, I'm sorry..."

"D-don't be. It's no big deal Sans.."

He laughed dryly. "Then why can't you look at me?"

She looked up, feeling guilty. "I'm sorry.. It startled me that's all." He nodded thoughtfully as Papyrus entered the room.

"IS EVERYTHING ALRIGHT? IT SEEMS KINDA TENSE IN HERE.." Papyrus asked as he surveyed the room.

"Yeah Pap. Everything is good." Sans said with a laid back tone. Frisk smiled at him before continuing to eat the spaghetti on her plate.
