Sans woke up a couple hours later. He stretched carefully and got up. He walked around the house, checking to see if Papyrus was home. When he realized he wasn't, he went back upstairs to Frisk's room. He softly bonked his teeth against her cheek, blushing slightly, and twirled his finger in her hair. She started to stir, her eyes opening slightly. He immediately felt bad for waking her up.

"Sorry kiddo."

"Sans?" She said groggily.

"Right here." He replied, placing his hand on her shoulder.

"M'kay." She smiled sweetly and held her arms up in the air. He chuckled and leaned over, hugging her tightly. "So what do you wanna do today?" She asked.

He thought for a moment. He looked at her, smirked and leaned toward her ear before whispering "You." She became a blushing mess and  quickly covered her face with the blankets, frantically pushing him to the side.

"SANS NO!" She said, her cheeks getting redder. He sat between her and the wall, laughing hysterically.

"I was just kidding Frisk!" He said between chuckles, his cheeks a  light blue.

"YOU'D BETTER BE!" She said, giggling. "No but seriously, if you have nothing then I'll watch the cameras."

"Cameras?" It was then she remembered that she hadn't told Sans about the security measures Alphys had put in place.

"Yeah, Alphys set them up so we could keep watch for Chara. They're pretty convenient. " He nodded his approval and crawled over her. He sat there for a moment before getting up to leave.

"Welp, I'll leave ya to it." He smiled at her and slowly left the room, shutting the door softly behind him. She heard his footsteps down the hall.

She sighed and pulled up the cameras, rewinding the clips to the night before. After seeing nothing suspicious,  she went to the live feed. She switched to the camera positioned above Chara's grave. Frisk sighed nervously, unsure of what was gonna happen. The camera's were helpful but they scared her. So many unpredicable things could happen in an instant. She rubbed her eyes tiredly.

Suddenly, a hole appeared in the ground,  and Flowey popped out of it. He looked sad, he bowed his head.

"Please come back soon Chara. I tried my best to make it quick but" the flower paused, and closed his eyes. "But I'm not good at this stuff and I miss you." Tears filled his eyes. His leaves unfurled revealing a bar of chocolate, which he left sitting there. "I brought this for when you wake up. I hope it's still your favorite. It was very hard to find." His leaves caressed on of the flowers gently before he disappeared back into the hole.

Frisk just stared, her mouth open in shock and fear. Flowey was trying to bring Chara back. It was Flowey this whole time. She began tearing up, Chara would be here soon. She didn't wanna see everyone she loved die again. She let out a quiet sob, her heart quickening. Frisk hated this, all of it. Why couldn't she just be happy? Why did Chara have to ruin the timeline everytime? Hadn't she suffered enough? Why must Chara torture her like this? Frisk curled into a ball on her chair, soaking her sweater with tears. She couldn't see another option other than to call Sans, other than Flowey, he was the only other one who could remember past timelines. He'd surely know what to do.

"S-SANS! COME HERE!" she yelled, her voice shaky and unsure. There was a flash of blue light, and then she saw him. Her favorite skeleton stood there looking at her curiously.

"Hey, what's wrong kiddo?" He asked quietly, stepping forward to hug her. She pointed to the screen showing him how to rewind the footage and buried her face in his neck. He smelled slightly of ketchup, but mostly of an odd cologne. She liked it and she leaned into him more, finding  a bit comfort in the smell. She heard Flowey's words replay. All the talk about Chara coming back and the chocolate.  Along with that she heard  a small grunt from Sans.

She looked up at him, his eye was lit up, his other pitch black and there were tears streaming down his face. He looked DETERMINED though. He wasn't going to let her win, or at least, he'd try his best. "Ch-Chara's returning?" He asked gruffly. Frisk only nodded pulling him closer, trying to offer some comfort. "We'd better start the preparations then. We need to get everyone to the castle where they will be safe. We'll start with the Ruins and then Snowdin, Waterfall, Hotland, and the Core." He had a serious look on his face. He wasn't going to watch her die again. Not this time. He looked doen at her. "Let's do this together Frisk, and if.." he paused. His eyes wandering to the floor. "If we die we'll know we died heroes.. right?" He smiled, trying to be brave for her. She kissed him, her arms wrapping around his neck. His hands wandered to her waist and they stayed like that for a few seconds before separating and heading downstairs. Sans left a quick note for Papyrus, in case he came back, and walked outside.

Sorry for how long this took! I really wanted this to sound right because hey, the feels are coming loves! Are you ready!? Probably not but that's alright. Anyway, I hope you are enjoying so far and please don't yell at me for ruining happiness XD it had to happen sometime guys. I decided on chapter 9 because that's pretty much Undertale's number of death. So yeahh. I'd like explain something though, I don't see Chara as a bad guy anymore but I did when I started the book so I mean, evil Chara is gonna go down but remember that I see them as like idk and observer I guess. I made this chapter 999 words.
