*Joey's P.O.V.*

Shane is talkative tonight. I mean, he just got back from a date, why did he want to come over and play video games? He's so weird.

I beat him for the last time on Halo.

"Good game Shane."

"You fucking cheated."

"How?!"

"I don't know, you just did," he said with a laugh.

I punched him in the arm and he just smiled.

WHY IS HE BEING SO AWKWARD??

I stood up and yawned.

"Time for this sleepy boy to go to bed."

"You could've just said 'Hey Shane, it's time for you to get out'."

"I would never! Well... I kinda do need the sleep. Got a big performance coming up."

We walked to the door and I opened it, letting Shane step onto the porch.

"Alright, next time we're playing GTA, got me?" Shane said as he stepped back a bit as I stood outside the door.

"Whatever you say, I'll still beat you," I said with a laugh.

Shane pulled me into a hug that lasted a little longer than it should've.

And as he pulled back...

He kissed me!

On the lips, no less!

Oh my...

"Shane, what the hell was that?!"

"I-I'm so sorry Joey."

He ran off without an explanation or anything. Just hopped into his truck and drove off.

I stood there emotionless as I watched Shane drive off. Mandy come storming out of Tammy's house and ran over into my yard. She was barefoot and in her pjs.

"Joey, what the hell did I just see?"

I couldn't say anything, I couldn't move. It was like I was cemented to the ground.

"Joey, answer me."

"I... I don't know what that was," I finally choked out.

Mandy dragged me back into my house and shut the door. I couldn't pay any attention to her as she shook me.

"Joey!" I finally heard her yell.

I shook my head and looked at her.

"Yeah?"

"What just happened?"

"We, uh, we were just playing video games and he was leaving, and then THAT happened," I explained as best I could.

"I'm calling Shane."

"No, don't. Please. Let me do it."

I pulled out my phone and went through my contacts. I got to Shane's and clicked on it. As it rang, Mandy stood by my side, her arms crossed and tapping her foot. I decided to put it on speaker. It rang one more time before Shane answered.

"Joey, I'm so sorry," he blurted out before I could even say hello.

"Shane, please explain what that was."

I looked over at Mandy and gave her a worried look. She just simply nodded and continued to stay standing beside me.

"I have these...feelings for you Joey. I-it's different. Can we please just... Can we please just forget about all this? Just be friends again. It'll never happen again, I swear on my life."
