Epilogue: One year later

Valissa finishes packing her bag and quietly zips it up. She looks over the sleeping naked form lying on her bed. She mentally checks everything off of her list. She had her passport, birth certificate, I.D., and money. She didn't really think she would need her phone where she was going but she brings it anyway.

She and Ason had just made love,as the right terminology since they had recently told one another they loved each other.

Layla had passed away a week ago and the funeral was yesterday, she hadn't thought she'd react the way she did but she'd broke down, like literally. She had lost her mother and sister to the same diseases and thankfully her niece didn't seem to have a trait of it. But earlier that day Valissa had found out some news she didn't think Ason would be able to handle so she was leaving. She had told him she loved him right before he'd fallen asleep, she would leave him the letter that she wrote telling him she loved him and she would be safe but she wouldn't tell him where she was going and why she was going. She had also told him in the letter to tell Kymmer, Calli, and Ryder that she loved them and to be safe and some day she would see them all once again. She was leaving him and going to Europe. Valissa knew that this would all come back around and bite her in the ass but she just couldn't get enough courage as to tell him she was pregnant. She was going to have a baby in 7 months and she was leaving instead of staying.

What a coward? Right?

She knew if Ason ever found out about her running away from home to have the baby that he would never forgive her but that was the reason why she had to go because he would never forgive her if he found out about the baby.

She takes out the letter she'd written and places it gently on the pillow next to his head. She leans down slowly and quietly and kisses him on the forehead softly.

"See you later, Ason. I love you so much, baby." she whispers aloud as she shuts the bedroom behind her quietly.

As she passes her sisters door she then lets the tears start to cascade down her face. Valissa gets downstairs to her car. She hurries and starts the car before Ason or Callissta wakes up and notices she is gone.

She backs out of the driveway and presses on the gas. She doesn't look back because she knows if she does she would go back. She continues to cry and makes her way to the airport to start a new life with her new edition. She places her hand on her stomach gently and sends her love to Ason. What Valissa doesn't see is;

The body standing in the window watching as she drove away with tears streaming down their face and the letter in their hand.
