A/N: Hey guys. It's 2018 and I finally have decided to edit this book. Thanks to all of you I have over 90k reads and counting. I love you all! And welcome to the new readers. Hope you enjoy Abused. POV will be Adrien unless I say differently.

"I miss you, mom. Please come back!" I pleaded. With bruises on my arms, I cried myself to sleep dreaming of the horrible nightmare that was my reality.

Flashback to Childhood

"I love you, mama," I said hugging her tightly. We were walking in our garden that mom raised mostly by herself with a little help from me, her one and only son. "Mama? What's your favorite type of flower?"

"My favorite flowers are the pink roses, Adrien." Her smile was kind and sweet just like the flower she was talking about. "Roses are a symbol of love, and pink is my favorite color."

"What is love, mommy?" I asked very unfamiliar with this term. I had heard it so many times, even said it myself but the meaning was very unclear.

"Love is a feeling but also an action. I love you, Adrien. I can feel it in my heart, and I show it to you by being with you and being your mother. Love others, Adrien, always remember that okay?" She lectured.

"I promise!" I hugged her tightly agreeing that I would always remember. "I love you, too, mama."

"Let's go back to the house, okay? Your father is going to be quite upset if we aren't back in time for dinner." She held me in her arms and carried me all the way home.

After dinner, Mama wanted a little time to herself and said, "Gabriel, I am going out for a walk, okay?" She grabbed her jacket and headed for the door. One thing stopped her.

"You need to have someone with you," my dad said.

"It's alright. I can manage."

"You are not going out alone, and that's final!" I was hiding behind a corner listening intently.

"You aren't the boss of me even if you are my husband. Let me go, okay?"

"You might get hurt out there." Dad's voice sounded more kind and concerned for mommy.

I ran out from where I was hiding and said, "Don't worry daddy!" I smiles brightly. "Mama is strong! She won't get hurt. Trust her daddy! Don't you love her?" I tried to sound cuter than normal and even threw in a cute smile at him.

"You win, Adrien," he sighed with a sad tone of reluctance. "Yes, I love your mother more than anyone in the world."

"Even more than me?" I questioned poking both my cheeks.  He picked me up, and he kissed my cheek saying, "I love you both equally."

"I love you, too daddy!" I hugged his shoulder. "Bye mommy! Come home soon okay?" I waved.

"Ok, sweetie. Bye," she waved her final goodbye.

After she left, I went up to daddy and asked, "Can we play, daddy?"

"Sorry Adrien not now. I have to work to support you, your mother, and I. Maybe in an hour or two we can play okay?" His eyes never left the screen of his work computer.

"All right. Love you daddy!" I said cheerfully.

"Love you too son." I skipped away to the garden. I wanted to pick the perfect rose for mommy. She said she liked pink roses so I went to that section to go find a rose. I didn't want a smudge on it or a broken stem. I finally found the perfect rose. It wasn't blemished, and not a single petal of leaf looked out of place. I picked it carefully to avoid the thorns. I was only gone for a few minutes so I could surprise Mommy. I picked out a nice vase which Gorilla took down for me and filled it with water. I put the flower in it neatly, deciding the right angle then ran to go show daddy.

"Dad! Come see this rose I picked for mommy! Please!" I pleaded tugging his pant leg.

"Okay, but I need to hurry okay? I need to go on a call in five minutes." I nodded knowing that it would hardly take up any of his time. I led him to the kitchen and pointed at the vase.

"See?" I said excitedly almost jumping up and down.

"That's a perfect rose! It's your mother's favorite isn't it?" I nodded feverishly. "It's very lovely, I am sure your mother will love it." Ring ring! His phone sounded. "Hold on a minute." I patiently waited. "What?! Are you kidding me. I knew she couldn't go out by herself! Get everyone on it. NOW!"

"Daddy? What's wrong?" I asked scared. The tone of his voice wasn't happy.

"Adrien, go to your room now while I try to deal with this," he said sighing and pinching the bridge of his nose. I could feel the frustration he must of felt just looking at him.

"Okay." I walked to my room very unsure why daddy was upset. I decided to look at my copy of the family album. In almost all the pictures mommy and I are smiling brighter than daddy. Was daddy not happy? I decided to go out and asked him since he said he loved us so much. Why wouldn't he be happy? I went to go find him. He was still in the kitchen. I walked in asked him, "Dad, are you really happy?"

"Adrien Agreste! You deliberately disobeyed me." I saw anger in eyes and heard it in his voice. Before I could say sorry, he slapped my left cheek very hard. I was already in tears, and I couldn't move. He never got so angry that he hurt me like that. "Take this. You won't be need it." He pushed the vase over, and it shattered water and glass covering the floor. I grabbed the rose and ran to my bedroom. I had glass stuck in my feet, and it hurt really bad. When I got to my bedroom, I slammed the door shut. I picked out the glass in my feet and threw it in the trash. I took all the flowers out of my current vase still in tears, and I placed my rose in there. What did dad mean when I didn't need this anymore? As time went on I realized what he mean. When my pink rose died, part of me died along with it.

A/N: By the way, this whole time I imagined Adrian as like a 5 year old. So cute! See you in the next chapter. I can't promise these will be longer either. This chapter in what I normally write.
