How it Goes

Chapter 1: Can't Sleep

    Kyungsoo POV-

         We've been flying for over five hours already and my back hurt from sitting on the plane.  Chen was next to me asleep and so was everyone else.  I was the only one awake and I really couldn't sleep on planes.  I looked around the plane to doublecheck if anyone was awake but I found no one.  My mind was so blank I didn't know what to think about.  I wanted to sleep so badly.  I wanted to be home.  On my pillow.  I could nudge Chen but I knew he was having a bad day so I'll let him rest.   I closed my eyes and I try to do anything to fall asleep.  I started counting sheep and it sort of was working until I felt a soft top on my shoulder. 
    " Hey Kyungsoo " I couldn't make out who it was.  He tapped me again.  I turned over.  "Mmmh?" I groaned pretending I was tired. 
     " It's Kai. " 
I smiled.  Finally someone was awake. 
     " I couldn't sleep. " He whispered.
" That sucks." I said pretending I couldn't relate.
     " Could you sit by me?" Kai asked. " I was sitting by Chanyeol but then he moved to an open seat to get more leg room. "
" Sure I'll come." I said as I gathered my blanket and phone over to Kai's seat a few rows back."
    " I have the window." Kai said as we filed in. 
As we sat down we brought out our phones to play games.  I looked over at Kai who was rapidly touching the screen and the screen light shining on his mouth showed he was gritting his teeth. 
" Looks like your pretty determined there." I remarked.
    " I know- I've been playing for the last hour and I'm trying to beat my score- let me focus."  He said under his breath focusing on the screen.
" Goodness." I reacted.  " I'll let you play then."
I watched him for the next few minutes before collapsing on his shoulder completely asleep.

I awoke suddenly to the big thump of the plane hitting the runway.  I slowly opened my eyes to find Kai still asleep on the wall of the plane. I tapped him awake.
    " Hmm. " He groaned pushing me off. " Let me sleep. " He looked extremely tired.
" When did you end up falling asleep?" I asked.
    " Too recent. " He replied falling back against the wall. 
As we got to the gate some of the members cheered in celebration of finally getting here. We were in the US.  New York City, New York.  We soon filed off the plane where our manager lead us to a room where we sat and waited.  I don't know what for.  Groggy Kai came over to me and rested his head on my shoulder. I smiled and fluffed his blonde hair. Xiumin who is the most peppy and not tired out of all of us came over to me.
    " Dang you alright there sleepy head?"  Xiumen asked Kai.  Kai shook his head
" He doesn't feel well. " I said to get Xiumin away so Kai could rest. I felt bad for him. Being tired sucks on tour.  I'm glad we're going straight to the hotel. Our manager lead us out of the waiting room to find our bags. We grabbed them and walked outside to find our bus to take us to the hotel. We loaded our bags and ourselves into seats. I looked over to see Kai sitting by me again.
" Your shoulder is too comfy. " Kai said smiling.
" Ehhh I don't want you here. " I said joking pushing him off. We laughed as he play hit me in the face. I hit him back. We were laughing and shoving each others faces. Baekhyun turned around from the seat in front of us.
" Would you two lovebirds calm down?" He said almost seriously.
" Hey! " Kai shoved his face.
" Just sayin. " Baekhyun replied shoving Kai back. He turned back around and Kai's head ended up back on my shoulder closing his eyes as the bus took off with a rumble.

We drove for about thirty minutes and Kai was fast asleep. I was getting pretty sleepy myself and I couldn't wait to get some food and throw myself on a mattress. My eyes felt like there were bricks on them but yet I continued to look outside the window seeing the zooming cars and buses along the intertwining highway.
