Chapter 13: First day home

Kyungsoo's POV-

    I woke up really late due to being jet lag. My own bed felt so good to be in. I was starving and I couldn't wait to cook because I haven't in weeks. I got up to go to the kitchen where I found Chen and Lay making coffee.
    " Good morning." I said.
" Hey." Chen handed me a cup of coffee.
    " Oh thanks." I smiled at him. Chen is pretty much the only person in the group that would make coffee for everyone.
    " Are more people awake?" I asked.
" I don't think so. I mean it's a day of nothing so we're taking advantage of it." Chen replied. I nodded.
    " Well I'm gonna cook something."
" Go right ahead." Chen said plopping on the couch next to the kitchen.
    I opened our fridge and well shit. I forgot there's no food. How could I have been so stupid?
    " Hey Yixing?" I said turning around to meet his eyes. He looked up.
" Who's turn is it to go to the supermarket?"
    " I don't know Kyungsoo we've been away from home for 2 weeks." He said.
" Well I think Baekhyun did it last..."
" Just do it Kyungsoo it doesn't matter who does it." He said with barley any tone in his voice.
" Ok I just thought we might use the system it took us like a whole hour to make." I walked out of the kitchen and into Kai and I's room to find Kai on his beanbag reading.
" Oh hey." I said. He looked up from his book with an eyebrow raised.
" Hey."
" I thought you might be asleep." I mentioned as I sat down next to him.
" Mhm." He managed to say barely speaking not looking up from his book.
" Could you go to the grocery store with me?" I asked.
" Kyungsoo I really rather not. I couldn't sleep very well last night from being jet lag. I'm a little tired and grumpy."
" Well if you go to the grocery store with me you can pick out something for me to cook you and that can cheer you up."
" Kyungsoo it's fine."
" No come with me." I grabbed his hand and pulled him off his bean bag making him loose his place in his book.
" Kyungsoo!"
" Sorry."
" Ugh. Fine you want me to go with you that badly?"
I nodded.
" Let's make it quick." He said grabbing his wallet and shoes.
" I'm gonna stop by people's rooms to see if there awake. Just so I can ask them what they want."
   He nodded.  " Ok I'll meet up with you soon."
I walked to Suho, Sehun and Lay's room next door and it looks like Suho and Sehun are still asleep but I know to get stuff for protein shakes for them. Next I went to Chen and Xiumin's room where I found Xiumin sitting at his desk.
    " Hey I'm going to the grocery- you want anything?" I said as I knocked on his door for him to notice me.
    " Oh uh- just get some extra fruit for me thanks." He said with an unsure look on his face.
    " You ok?"
" Um...yeah."
    " Ok well I'll see ya in a bit."
That was weird.
    " Hey."
I turned around to see Kai.
    " Ready to go?" He asked.
" I just needa stop by Chan and Baek's room real quick."
    We checked on Baekhyun's side and he wasn't there which is weird because I never saw him up. Then we looked over on Chanyeol's side to find Baek asleep on top of him with his head on his chest. I looked at Kai who just kept staring at them. He had a blank face as if he wasn't surprised he was gonna see this. Did he know about them too? I looked at how they seemed so intimate with eachother which made that feeling comeback but with jealousy. I wish that could be Jongin and I. I really did. My heart hurt just to look at those two. However, by the look on Jongin's face maybe he was feeling the same way.
He suddenly grabbed my hand and ran out of the the apartment with me trailing behind.
" Jongin! Stop! Slow down!"
He stopped and looked at me.
" C'mon." He said starting to jog. " We gotta go quick so we won't get caught by any fans."
" Wait. Did you not bring your mask?" I asked.
" No I forgot it that's why we gotta hurry!"
" Jongin what the heck! You don't go out in public without a mask!"
I started to pick up my pace. Luckily the store was just behind the corner so we were safe.
" Ok hustle give me the list!" Jongin said circling around me like a five year old.
I shoved it in his chest.
" Ok cool I'll get frozen foods and meats and you get fruits and veggies then we meet at the snack isle. Ok?"
" Ok." I said nodding.
We both sprinted around the store grabbing the items the fastest we could. People were staring at us, but I don't think it was because we were idols. I ran to the snack isle with all the fruits and veggies in my cart to see Jongin already picking things off the shelves.
" Almost done!"
I just watched him look like an idiot knocking things on the floor because he was going so fast. It was kinda cute. It was actually really cute. I love this side of him. I started cracking up.
" And we're done!" He said rushing the cart to the register. We got lucky we didn't get caught by any fans yet. We never leave without the mask.
    " Take this!" He said disrupting my train of thought by shoving the heavy bag of groceries in my chest. We ran out of the small market and I watched Kai try to run the fastest he could with four grocery bags in his hands. The result wasn't really running, but instead a derpy penguin waddle.
    We got back into our apartment and Kai threw the bags on the counter and collapsed on the floor panting with his hands over his chest. He bit his lip ever so slightly which made him look even sexier (as stupid as it sounds). I hate the word "sexy". It's so overused now in magazines, tv, and all that commercialized stuff.
    " You good?" I asked him helping him sit up.
" Yes. I'm very tired. I just ran my ass around like a crazy person for the past 15 minutes."
    I nodded.
" I might go back to bed now that the errands are done." He said finally standing up.
    " You don't want breakfast?" I asked.
He tilted his head and pouted.
    " You don't have to make something fancy." He then reached in one of the grocery bags and pulled out a pack of ramen. " Sorry." He handed me the pack of noddles. I frowned.
    " Really Jongin. Ramen. We're finally home after two weeks and you want ramen."
He shrugged. " You can make dinner?"
    " Ok. Fine." I rolled my eyes.
I made the ramen and brought it into our room. He sat on the floor with his computer in front of him.
    " Here." I gave him the bowl of noodles.
" Thanks. Do you wanna watch a movie?" I asked.
    " I hate movies."
" Wait what?"
    " I can't sit through one. The endings are predictable and if it's a good one they can get to my head."
    " Your not human." I said grabbing his computer.
" Im sorry I just rather read."
    " Yeah. Your really strange. Well my goal today is to make you sit through a whole movie and enjoy it."
    He just sat there eating his noddles. I put on one of my favorite American movies "Moonrise Kingdom".
    " I saw it on a plane once. I think you'll like it."

Throughout the movie we were silent. Every so often I reached my leg a little closer to his barely touching. My pinky finger reached for the edge of his hand but I stopped myself. I couldn't hold it in. I wanted to be with him so badly. I wanted to scream to him how I felt. I want to talk to someone. Maybe I could talk to Chanyeol or Baekhyun, I mean they'd understand how I feel. I'll think about it.
 
      " So wait- there twelve and married?" Jongin asked as soon as the movie ended.
" I mean not really. It wasn't a real wedding ceremony."
    " But like- still. They're twelve Kyungsoo."
" I guess they loved eachother." I said with a smile peeking from my lips. I think he liked the movie.
    " Yeah I guess..."
" So you liked it?" I asked.
    " I think I did."
For the next hour we ended up talking. Just about random things that were happening in our lives. We talked about Chanyeol and Baekhyun too. He actually brought it up,which was a surprise. He told me how he felt with Chanyeol not telling him. I was hoping at maybe one point in all that he would say he was jealous or maybe just maybe something like " Oh Kyungsoo I want you so badly and now that they're together I feel better about confessing my love to you."  However none of that happened. He just talked. And I listened.
