After a tiring first day, full of surprises, it was time to go home. I really needed to get home and update my old friends about the exciting events that occurred today. So after swapping numbers with Taylor and Adrian and the rest of their friends, whom by the way, I surprisingly got on with really well with, I made a dash for the gates and headed onto my way home.

I quickly walked onto the path that lead to my house, stopping at the crossing lines which was guarded by a crossing lady, standing at the edge of the crossing lines, doing what crossing ladies usually do. But there was something about this crossing lady, that I couldn't quite put my finger on.

She had a slightly hunched back, with dark hair that was loosely tied up in a very messy ponytail. Her face was drained of any colour, and she looked, about middle fifties? I couldn't really tell.

As she lifted her head she looked straight at me. I was taken aback at how dark her eyes were. You couldn't even see the pupil. She slightly cocked her face as her mouth made a cruel, sad smile.

"Hello Sky. I hope you've had a nice day" She said in a sinister voice.

Okay, firstly, I have 3 questions- How did she know my name? What was it about her that was so creepy about her? It wasn't just her appearance, I knew that for a fact. And thirdly, why am I still standing here?

I quickly walked ahead of her pretending not to have heard her, But when I looked back, I couldn't help but shiver as I saw those black eyes drilling into me. I made a mental note to go the other way tomorrow. How would she have known my name? Who was that crossing lady? Well I sure as hell don't want to find out.

I stopped in front of a big house which just happened to be my new home. I sighed feeling a little homesick for my old home, that wasn't even twice as small. I rushed up to my room, eager to webcam my friends.

I slam into my study chair, almost knocking it over, and pushed the power button. Luckily my best friend was already online so I could talk straight away. Literally slamming the mouse, I clicked on my best friends profile; Isabel.

I was greeted immediately with a bush of blond hair. Yep, this was Isabel. I saw her eyes light up as she saw me and screamed.

"OMG SKY IS THAT YOUR NEW HOUSE HOW WAS SCHOOL I MISSED YOU!!!" She said in one single breath.

I laughed. I could count on Isabel to ease me a little. "Well hello to you too"

"Answer my questions!!"

"Geez, Okay then!" I replied. " Well I met loads of different teachers, but they all had one thing in common: they were all snobbish"

"Obviously. Why did you have to leave Sky, its only been a day and I'm already dying inside." She whined

"Well I had to. It wasn't my fault , and you know it. Anyway I've already got loads of friends and stuff and also loads of homework, so I'll have to talk to you later" She let out a dragging groan, and said bye.

But I swear, as I was turning off the laptop I saw something in my peripheral vision that triggered my senses. I saw the bright yellow flash of colour that could only belong to the vest of a crossing lady.
But when I looked back, there was absolutely no one there.
