Today was the first day I actually got to hang out with one of my new friends. I had found out that I was surprisingly busy ever since I moved to New York.

And it also meant spending time with Adrian. These tragic past days, I forgot how beautiful he was. But I couldn't think of that now. When he's girlfriend just disappeared, it would hardly be fair if there was another romantic affair in his life.

So, back to reality, Adrian and I got on the subway to New York City. Yeah, that big place. We were going for dinner, and dessert. And maybe try to fit in some shopping time as well.

"Where do you want to go first? " I asked.

"We'll go to that big mall. Then well go somewhere for dinner. Have you ever been to the City?" Adrian asked

"No, my old town was actually really small. I haven't been to any really big cities." I replied

"I think you'll love it. New York's even better at night." He said excitedly.

Soon we arrived at our station. Me and Adrian tried to keep each other in sight, because we didn't really want to get lost in the tidal wave of people.

"Whew, it is a relief to get out of that station. Where do you want to go next?" I asked

"I've heard there's a great cinema there at the mall." Adrian answered.

"The mall is a bit away from here, so let's start walking" And we set off for the mall.

On the way we talked about my other life before coming to New York. Adrian and I both realized it then- as soon as I got to this new school, I had no chance to properly introduce myself. So we just relaxed for the first time I this week. As we giggled and goofed around, we looked exactly like normal teenagers, and we also felt like it. No one would have ever guessed we were associated with a crime case.
