*Brody's POV*

I watch as Aspen walks in the other direction. She kissed me. I never thought in a million years that that would happen. God it was amazing.

"Brody, you good man?", Ryker says. I don't think he saw what happened.

"Yeah. Everything's great.", I say and watch Aspen turn down another hall.

"Holy shit dude. She kissed you.", Heagyn says.

"Yeah.", I say and look at him.

"Aren't you gonna go after her?", he says.

"She's got class and she's probably trying to recover. From it.", I say and he nods. I hope I didn't scare her off.

*Aspen's POV*

Oh my god. I'm so stupid. I should have stayed and talked to him after I kissed him. He probably thinks I'm not interested. Well, I mean I kissed him.

"Aspen. You kissed Brody.", Sage says from beside me.

"Yeah. And now I feel like I'm gonna be sick.", I say and she smiles.

"Where did that come from? You're usually not the one to make the first move.", she says and I nod

"I don't know. I just went for it. Something told me to just kiss him and that everything would fall into place.", I say and she smiles.

"Awe. But you probably should t have walked away after that.", she says and I role my eyes.

"I know! I just panicked.", I say and she laughs.

"It'll be fine. It'll work itself out.", she says and I nod.

God I hope she's right. I really like him. I look to my right and see Brody at the end of the hallway looking around. I lock eyes with him and he starts walking towards me.

"Oh my god. He's coming over here.", I say and Sage moves to the side.

"Hey. Do you wanna go out tonight?", he says and I look up at him.

"I uh. I mean. Sure.", I stutter and he smiles.

"So I'll pick you up at six?", he says and I smile.

"Sounds perfect. I'll see you then.", I say and he walks back to his friends.

*Ryker's POV*

I watch as Brody makes his way back to us with a smile on his face.

"You good bro?", I say and he chuckles.

"Yeah. I asked her out and she said yes.", he says and I nod.

"Nice man.", I say and walk over to my locker.

I'm happy for Brody. He deserves to be happy and she obviously does that. I just don't know know how to express my feelings like that. I see what he sees in Aspen in Sage.

I grab my text book and walk down the hall to my first period. As I'm walking I try to think of ways I can to talk to her. Maybe I can sit with her at lunch. Nah. We probably eat at different times.

I finally decide on how I can talk to her as I reach the door to my classroom. As I'm walking in, this guys walks out at the same time bumping shoulders with me. I decide to nudge him a little and say, "Watch it."

I get to my seat and sit down, think about her.

*Sage's POV*

I walk down the empty hallway thinking about Ryker. That's all I've been thinking about. His smile, his eyes.

God. I really like him.

Since I'm in study hall I decide to just hangout by my locker instead if going to the library. That way I can be on my phone without getting looked at by the librarian.

As j turn the corner to get to my locker, I see Ryker standing there leaning against the lockers. Right where mine is.

"Hey. We didn't really get to talk last night. Except for when you drank tequila out of my belly button.", he says and I smile.

"Yeah well that didn't really count as talking.", I say and he chuckles.

I start to put the combination into my locker when Ryker stands up straight and takes a few steps closer to me.

"I forgot I ask, how was Heagyn this morning?", I say and he smiles. God his smile. His dimples, perfectly caved.

I look to my right and see these guys walking past us. One looks at me up and down, then winks.

Ryker turns to look at the guy and clenches his jaw.

"What's your problem man?", the guy says and Ryker walks towards him.

Shit. I decide to take a big step and get between them before it gets ugly.

I place my hands on Ryker's chest and push him back.

"Stop. He's not worth it.", I say and he looks down at me.

I look back at the guy but I can tell he wants to get a rise out of Ryker.

"Yeah. You listen to your little bitch.", he says and that does it.

Ryker pushes me to his side and punches the guy straight in the jaw. I grab Ryker's arm and try to pull him back but I can't. He pushes my arms off of him and I back away.

He realizes what he's done and turns to look at me. His eyes turn soft and he grabs my hand and says, "I'm sorry."
